Adam, I'll hit you up Friday for sure.
The worst is when they finally do get back to you weeks and weeks later. They give you a 7 day pass. Like its possible to review 40 sites within 7 days

I get that all the time also. I'm surprised that even the sites that get very good scores on review sites don't reply to emails.

The seven day pass I can deal with. It usually doesn't take much to explain how we work and get the extension. At least then the door is open and business can be done. It's just those emails that float out, never to be heard from again . . . GRRRR!

And I hear you Bourd. However, you can always pay and get those ones listed. At least you are pretty much safe in knowing your efforts will be worth it in the end.

I recently sent an e mail to a few affiliate programs. From which it was straight forward and they have to do about 5-10 mins of work to get traffic. You would be surprised on how hard it is to get some companies to work with you.

I simply tell them if they can't help me do you have the ICQ or e-mail of someone who can. If that doesn't get it, I ask for the e-mail of the owner of the program. That always works.

What kind of business are you running if this is the way you approach it?? It?s frickin unreal.
I imagine some sites may not want your review site traffic because they know their paysite will be ranked low compared to all the other paysites in that particular niche, and they do not wish to be listed on your site with a low score. It makes their site look bad.

Well, it's not like people are sitting around with nothing to do. While I would hope that one or our affiliate reps would get back to you quickly, we are in fact rather busy here.

But if you need anything from Playboy Cash or Reality Cash, email me at richard <at> adult.com.

I can see that point, but it doesn't make any sense to feel that way. Who does it look bad to? The surfers who probably wouldn't have found their site anyway? That's all anyone should care about -- getting traffic that they wouldn't get otherwise. The "review" nature of the site sets the stage for people to feel bad about a ranking, but programs just need to look at it like a glorified banner ad. You may not get front page placement but you'll have your site in front of eyeballs that, remarkably, will still join no matter what score is given. The only difference between a good score and a bad score is the amount of traffic received. Turning down review traffic for fear of a bad score is choosing pride over money -- and that's not good for business, in my opinion. And besides, the bast majority of sites just fall right into the middle. That's not a bad place to be.

Spookey - Yep, you're in line. A couple of weeks and you'll be good to go! ;)

FHM - I was on the receiving end of your tactics. You were the most aggressive client I had - and it was fun watching you work.

And Rochard, I think the bigger companies are easier to reach because there are just so many doors you can knock on. I think Reality Cash et al would safely fall into this category. ;)
