WTF! Programs Don?t Want Traffic?!?!

I just don?t get it. I spend a good portion of my week contacting new programs to send traffic to. You wouldn?t believe how many just don't respond. Who in their right mind doesn?t want traffic? It?s not like I?m calling from some site that's new or doesn't have the traffic. I don?t need special graphics made up or request higher payouts. And once added, the programs receive traffic for life. There?s no maintenance, no running back to ask why traffic suddenly stopped. What kind of business are you running if this is the way you approach it?? It?s frickin unreal.

K, rants done! :321GFY

TurboAngel 04-06-2006 08:37 AM

Who was it hun?

:)

sfera 04-06-2006 08:39 AM

Shaft_1971 04-06-2006 08:40 AM

I need the traffic - try hitting me up 199890361 I'll get back to you asap :)

Tyric 04-06-2006 08:40 AM

It's not just one - it's HUNDREDS! Seriously, it's that bad. I would estimate that my response rate is about 30%. 30 FRICKIN PERCENT! And my emails are straightforward.

hahaha8220;Hi, wehahaha8217;d like to send you business. What do you think? Can we do it?hahaha8221;

70% are keeping quiet!

Quick Buck 04-06-2006 08:41 AM

review sites can be pretty hit or miss for quality of members. maybe thats why you're not getting as many responses perhaps?

luv$ 04-06-2006 08:44 AM

I know trying to manage a ton of affiliates isn't easy. I'm not going to say we would never do such a thing, as stuff falls through the cracks occassionally - I'm pretty sure in this case it wasn't us, either way though hit me up and I can take care of you - we would love your valuable traffic.

A lot of people will tell you I'm the best there is at what I do :) (NERD ALERT!)

haha.. too slow shaft.

I love my Rabbitsreviews traffic :)

Quick Buck 04-06-2006 08:45 AM

i'll ammend that to say that the traffic quality can be so bad from some review sites that we asked one review site to remove every single listing they had for us even though they were on revshare.

Maybe, but I've never had a problem with review traffic. As an account rep for a sponsor program, I grabbed all the review sites. It put lots of money into our pockets -- and we didn't always have the greatest of reviews.

NickB. 04-06-2006 08:47 AM

a program that dont want traffic from rabbits ...... is missing out!

we will be in touch very soon! :)

Hmm, well, we've never had a problem with that. The only programs we're asked to remove are the ones that are closing. I just see it as a way to get traffic that you wouldn't get otherwise. We work to get it there and hopefully you can keep it long enough to pay off. But I still don't get how you could run rev share with them and still have it not work in your favor. I did really bad in math class, though! ;)

HorseShit 04-06-2006 08:53 AM

you have good traffic, fuck them

Too busy for business? Busy . . . cleaning the pool? Banging the maid? Watering the money tree in the back yard? It's possible, but those people usually hire regular folk to handle the other duties, I think.

OralAmber 04-06-2006 08:55 AM

We love your traffic. People dont know what they r missing out on. U can send us some more:winkwink:

Tom_PM 04-06-2006 08:57 AM

Thanks Brent. I appreciated that thread you sent about working from home. At least I know I'm not alone, even though it feels that way ;)

Rabbit, we'd be happy to try your traffic and see how it does.

With the other review site we dealt with we set up special price points for them from 9.95 a month to 14.95 a month... by the time we paid processing fees (assume a 12% rate), paid out the 60%, calculated time spent setting up special deals, and the bandwidth that was used not to mention that review surfers tend to cancel fast becuase they are trained we found that we were losing money/making so little that it wasnt worth it.

(9.95*.88)*40% = $3.50 was our gross profit per user before hosting and support costs.

But as I mentioned, I'd be happy to have you give our sites a try, we don't always hate review site traffic.. just some of it :)

Yeah, that came out a little wrong. The actual text looks like:

"Hi there,

Do you accept review site traffic? We have a bunch at RabbitsReviews.com and FetishFish.com and wouldn?t mind doing some business with you. Let me know . . .

Cheers!"

I think it's quick and to the point. We're all busy. I?ve tried other versions but this one gets the best response rate over-all. Anything more personalized and I'd be using too much time on it.

EvilFubAr 04-06-2006 09:29 AM

Review site traffic is worth about half what you think it is.

Damn!

Those must have been some pretty rough reviews.

In my estimation all traffic is good traffic.

I'll be contacting Tyric as soon as our site's new facelift has been implemented :thumbsup

Tyric 04-06-2006 12:13 PM

Thanks Twinkley - hiting you up as we speak.

Greg, i think we can fit you into both Rabbits Reviews and Fetish Fish. The links will take you to the info pages but you can also hit me up and we can take care of it from there, too. I appreciate it!

I have been wanting to make this same exact post for the last couple of months. Its funny how some programs or there reps just dont know how to reply to emails or icq messages. Great post :thumbsup

Hey alway happy to deal with Rabbit.

Hit me up and i would love to talk with you.

Tyric 04-06-2006 06:32 PM

Yeah Wargames, you know what I'm feeling! But there doesn't seem to be any logic to it. Big programs. Small programs. Lots of cracks to slide through. Half the problem are the contact options - tons don't list emails or their submit forms aren't in order.

Adam, I'll hit you up Friday for sure.
