What are your thought on globalization?
More and more jobs are going offshore, especially in the technology industry. This has been happening for years, but now the "problem" is more prevalent. Some economist say globalization obviously causes for american jobs to be taken by other countries, but will in turn promote free trade. This push for free trade will in turn stabalize the american economy. What are your thoughts on this globalization issue? Discuss.

"more and more jobs are going offshore"
thats like saying "more and more fruit is being picked by mexicans" the bottom line is that companies can start up, grow and thrive or expand faster with cheaper labor. that creates more jobs domestically. that is evident in the general growth of the economy. further, whether anyone likes it or not, outsourcing is a fact of life. you can't maintain an edge in any one country by paying many times more for the same resources that another country does. i wish all the alarmist (mostly liberal in economic arguments) morons in the world would finally understand that an economy is not a zero sum system. your view would demands that the domestic economy shrinks. yet it doesn't... it keeps growing and growing.... hmm..... |
