My take is that these folks are here illegally and need to go through the proper channels to get in this country.

"Go home (expletive) Nazi racists!" yelled members of an opposing group of circling counterprotesters

you can tell who's side they are on

They made it seem like the one side was saying generally "ok" things and the other side was shouting insults.. im sure both sides hurled insults..

No I think you are wrong here, most of mainstream America does not want illegal immigrants. Once a criminal always a criminal. Why is it racist to require anyone immigrating to the USA to go through a process just like every other country? This is silly these illegals are way past their bounderies and have no idea what the rule of law is obviously, they broke it once coming into America and what stops them from breaking other laws?
