I can't speak for other people, but as someone who used both products, I can just do things in AutoBlogger the way I want to very easily, and it wasn't the case with RSS2Blog -- too much work to get it to the way I wanted. Just different "styles" of doing things, I guess, and ABP fit with my "style" (no work, quick setup) more. If I was worried about $299 per 10 sites, I think I'd be in another industry, lol.

You get what you pay for, as we all know.

I disagree. ABP changes the feeds that it brings in to customize them, thereby creating the content I need. I also have a generator that is not feed based, which populates the autoposter module, "creating" content on the fly. I don't have that on a production site, but I plan to soon.

Holy shit, that's a lot of custom coding, then. Do you mind if I have a copy of your custom modules to try out?

I'm helping 4 people on ICQ right now, but 2 are almost done. If you would like:

A) Some help with AutoBlogger Pro, and you've already bought it.
B) Some help with questions before buying it.
C) A sales demonstration using a "live" site.

ICQ me at 501-917.

Speaking of live stats, here's some screencaps of the stats from one of the demo sites I just took (which doesn't appear to be very optimized, but still gets nice traffic):

Every post from that blog points to another blog. Every single one. I would think that it wouldn't be too hard for SEs to find a pattern in there somewhere and figure out it is a splog. It is content from 3 or 4 poker blogs. I am sure they are happy to see their content on your splog.

Btw, if you are making so much money running splogs, why are you spamming Autoblogger on GFY?

Well, shit. It's different with you, because you'll spread your legs for just about anything, man or beast.

I am a bit more selective. He has to drive a nice car. i.e., one with wheels. At least 3 wheels.

Is ABP built into wordpress meaning that its one program or are they still seperate scripts where ABP is just communicating with WP?

There is a difference between a few line excerpts and using the entire post. But, I wouldn't expect a content thief to know that or care about the difference.

It does look like Autoblogger Pro has enough in it to throw off the SEs. Great for thieves like you.

ABP is distributed as a collectioin of module for WordPress. WordPress is included for your convenience during installation,

Would you like the link to get the source code for WordPress? You can use SubVersion to grab it.

The purpose of RSS doesn't change whether it's a description only feed or full content feed. If it's made available, the intent on the part of the RSS owner is for it to be syndicated.
This is not content theft.

It's free traffic to whomever is syndicated. One of my ABP demo sites gets 1000+ uniques a day, would you mind me syndicating your site, and giving you some free traffic?

Some people can't see that RSS is a benefit for everyone. I would love for a bunch of people to syndicate my blogs. You do realize how much weblogsinc sold for right?

A huge part of the reason for the $ spent is the amount of syndicating/traffic going on with them.

Of course, content theft is the recourse for the feeble minded like you, who are unable to make a living using their own brain. Now I know why you are on here trying to pimp this software.

You are too pathetic to even make money off stealing content.

Give me a second, I'm jerking off to your blog.

Then, I'm going to syndicate it, and jerk off to it on my OWN sites.

Publishing the entire content of the site using RSS is like me sucking all the pictures from a paysite, leaving the watermark on, adding my own advertising and then saying to the content producer, wtf are you whining about, I am giving you free advertising.

This same argument has been going on with a lot of the paysite owners here who are pissed as hell for sites like Guba publishing all their content. Based on your theory, they should be happy, right?

If people were to take one or two stories, or even excerpts of stories that they find interesting, that is fine. But, republishing my entire site on another site is theft. And RSS is for visitors to my site, not for some unscrupulous webmaster who has the brains of a flea and can't put two sentences together to use my content and make money off it.

You're right, there is a difference between a few line excerpts with a link to the full article at the original website & using the entire article without giving any credit or link back. Fortunately, this is easy to remedy when you create your RSS feed. Wordpress, Blogger etc. all have the option of choosing to syndicate a portion or the full post. You can also add footer information with another link to your site, copyright info & so on.

I think the problem with the RSS-to-splog programs is giving the user the ability to change the original RSS feed to swap out links (like a poker site that uses syndicated content & changes all original referrer links to his own).

Disable your feed, put a notice not to syndicate it (which would only apply in the future, of course) cry more, or shut the fuck up. I predict you will choose "cry more," but please surprise me.

This is what I was saying a few posts back. If I caught another webmaster stealing something that I had written and putting his links in it...I would be sooo fucking pissed! Not only is it bullshit...it's plagarism. That would be like me copying the Declaraction of Independence, changing a few sentances, and saying I wrote it.

Talk to jdr, the owner of Fets.com. He's made thousands of sales from people doing just that. On the newsgroups, on their own sites, all over the place.

I'd love if someone stole all of my watermarked content.

You can turn off attribution to your original source very easily, when you grab an XML feed.

The difference between using RSS and taking content from a Paysite is simple, though: the paysite is NOT syndicating their content. Syndication is specifically FOR people to use your content, and give you a link back. You either publish a snippet, or you publish the whole thing.

The "brain of a flea," I think, belongs to the people who PUBLISH THEIR ENTIRE SITE FOR SYNDICATION, then cry when people syndicate it.

Why should I inconvenience my surfers? Some bloggers have gone to summary feeds and their readers have requested that they switch back to full feeds.

My RSS feed is not there for you to steal and serve your own advertising. Theif.

Clearly, he'd MUCH rather just whine about it. I can smell this type from a mile away, and they're the same ones standing in the soup kitchen line at the end of the month, crying about how hard it is to earn money.

Only if the Declaration of Independence A) wasn't syndicated through RSS, B) had a copyright asking you NOT to use it, and C) wasn't attributed (which all of our content IS .. we give full credit AND a link to where it came from, helping their SEO and sending them traffic).

First of all, "your" surfers come partially from ABP sites syndicating your content. Second of all, if you don't want your content used, simply post a notice that it is not to be used for syndication to other blogs. That is your recourse. Crying, instead, is what you've chosen to do.
