Several times in the past I received some questionable link exchange offers via email. Offers that do NOT mention any website reference to exchange with other than mine. Now again today I received exchange offers for two of my sites, and I would like your opinion if this is some kind of phishing scam or what?
Sender: Helena Kowalski [[email protected]] "Dear potential partner, We're currently looking at different websites to exchange links with, and came upon your site. Our sites have very good Google ratings, and thus could potentially increase your traffic. If you're interested, then please send me your website details. If not, then allow me to apologize for taking your time. Attention! We can write an article for you to place there. We'll write this article specially for you to fit in the theme of your website, and in exchange we ask only for attribution in the form of a link from the article to our site or sites as the authors. If you'd like more information, just reply to this mail. Best regards, Helena Kowalski " See how it says "We're currently looking..." but never mentions who we are?!? Also note the senders email address domain is a Polish search portal. |
