SG - Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...qb depth is a weakness atm. I've seen alot of mocks predicting they pick linebacker a.j. hawk ... hopefully thats incorrect. Al has never thought highly of paying dearly for linebackers and i agree with him on that.
Downtime - No matter how you slice it, the playoffs are not part of the picture..even if they improve mightily, they're still in arguably the toughest division in the league.
Triumph - I feel ya... I can tell you after watching him play for the saints for the last 5 years that he is not going to get you to the playoffs. That was his big knock with the saints. His first year (1/2 year really, he started the last 8 games and went 4 -4 ) they made the playoffs, since then they went 4 years without getting to the playoffs and they had a lot of talent. He always seemed to throw a bad pass, or int when it mattered the most. he also fumbled the ball on average about 2 times a game. He is famous for droping the ball when he cocks back to throw. To top it off he was always laughing and smiling even when he was having a bad game. The thing is he was best his first year when he didn't have the job locked up, once they gave him a big 5 year 40 million dollar type deal, it seemed like he didn't care, he had been paid. He has ZERO leadership.

yes i read what they said. He has Randy Moss to throw to, that should even out the fact that their offensive line is questiobable. Culpepper use to just throw it up and Moss would catch it every time.
Brooks sucks, always has always will. And he likes to cry a lot. I wish i could dig up some old after game interviews i am not kidding he would blame everyone else on the team, including the coach why they lost. I bet they draft a rookie QB in the first round next year. They will either cut brooks and pick up a good vet qb as a backup or mentor for the new draft choice or keep brooks to be the backup/mentor. I hope they don't keep him to help mold the new QB. He is not a team player and will only fuck up the new QB, and I don't think he will take well to helping someone replace him. Maybe Troy Smith is what they need. It will be a toss up between Lions and Raiders who will get him.
