Sometimes I can't get to sleep at all but sometimes I will fall asleep and then wake up in middle of night and can't go back to sleep, like now...

so here I am

maybe Nyquil...

any other insomniacs?

They call what I have "sleep apnea" but it ammounts tro the same thing. They have some over the counter sleeo aids I use occasionally.

Once I wake up I am up for hours.
I do find smoking a joint cuts it down to an hour or so then I can fall back to sleep

when i was 16 i had this times when it was impossible for me to sleep...

i almost went crazy because the day after the nights my body was like without any power...

thank god it ended when i got older and now i can sleep when and where i want without any problesm

and i pray and hope it will stay like this

I have trouble sleeping too...so when I finally fall asleep I loose hours in the morning. That sucks big time. Have not tried taking any meds for it and probably wont. Its not all the time its just when I have a lot going on. hehe

I'm lucky, when I decide it is time to go to sleep, I'm asleep within 5 minutes. I think my body is convinced that it might not be able to sleep again for a long time so take advantage of it while it can.

comes with the job. some years i get it REALLY bad where im up for days at a time, month after month. this year, i learned that i have to put a time limit on my work as if i was at a "real job". otherwise, i go into overload-thinking which equals (my) insomnia.

You can get them at pretty much any grocery store. Valerian Root is my fav, and Valerian Root + Melatonin gives me AWESOME sleep.

Ever since college.

I take Ambien. No hangover. I'm going to try the Ambien CR because Ambien does allow me to sleep; but I don't stay asleep. There's no hangover the next day, though, which is good.

I have Narcolpsy and insomnia.
I am prescribed GHB to sleep. Sucks cause you have to wake up in the middle of the nite to take a second dose.

I can't sleep before 5am. It's been that way for well over 20 years. I don't know if you can call that insomnia or just an abnormal body clock.

The only cure for me is live in girlfriends. You tend to adjust to their sleep schedule somewhat.

INSOMNIA SUCKS Ambien the 1st time I tried it, it was like a God Sent it lets you fall asleep stay asleep and wake up rested. Instead of waking up over tired. I didn't hear any good things about the CR I think its just a gimmick because the generics are going to be coming out

tends to happen to me when there's too much stress in my life - sometimes the stress is subconcious too and you can't even admit it to yourself but it's there.

figgure out the issues that are really bothering you and work on resolving the issues - peace of mind and proper sleep will follow.

I usually only sleep 4-5 hours a night at the best of times, but sometimes stay up 24-36 hrs. straight when workin' on projects. Most times I sleep from 5am to about 9am.
