Will the .EU be like the .COM boom?
As the so called sunrise period has finished and now the public can register a .eu domain as of April 7th. What are your thoughts about a .eu boom similar to the .com boom.
The USA population is 295,734,134 and The European Union population totals 456,953,258 as seen on the official website http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/.../2119rank.html What are your thoughts? I have registered 5 prominent domains and don?t be fooled that does not mean I will get them! It is first in first served. Go to the official website for more info http://www.eurid.eu/en/general/launch |

Blah.
.eu .in .xxx .whofucking cares. Sad reality is, it's either .com or not. .es for spanish work .fi for finnish work .co.uk for uk work eu is NOT a country. It will NOT be a new .com boom. my opinion only of course.

Just make yourself this question, who will write in his browsher porn.eu when looking for porn?
My only value for domains are the potential type ins and anything not .com or country level is useless by itself as type in generator.

If all Euro computers being sold were to be set up with browsers with .eu as standard (loads a .eu page on opening and all pre-set bookmarks set to .eu), could start surfers thinking .eu -
However, I can't really see that happening as each country would be relying on their own languge - Pre-paid for a few .eu domains tho, just in case... |

I believe it may be better not to just register adult domains but short 2-3 letter domains as they may become of value in the future. Just a short note: you can not register 2 letter domains only if one of the letters is a number. |

The other consideration that we may have to take into account is the .xxx sager if that does come into effect European countries do not have to abide by this fucking stupid law. Therefore all the .com?s registered for porn sites will be obsolete hence the value of .eu domains within our great industry.

Where can one register a .eu?
Even if they are not a big success, I can imagine if you register a bunch of big names you can sell em for profit... |

EU is *NOT* a fucking country. Would you think .na (north-america) would be fucking big hit since canada+usa have tons of people together? no? See my point? As unified as europe wants to be, it's not. There's different languages, totally different cultures and it simply is NOT something you can compare with the usa. Your logic is flawed, and .eu will NOT become a big hit. Mark my words. Feel free to bump this thread in 3 years and say 'I told you so' when you made billions off your .eu domains.

Here we go again, .eu is the new .in (I know, no one even remembers that extension now) but when .in domains came out everyone was like, "I just registered $4000 worth of .in domains! How many did you register?!".
Out of the dozens of ccTLD extensions, there are a few good ones but all the premium domains are already taken. |

Developing domain markets are today what .com was 10 years ago: risky, but ripe with opportunity. Who knows which of today's long shots will turn into tomorrow's goldmine?
Domainers everywhere are preparing to pounce on the best remaining names when .EU opens for public registration April 7. |

I believe if you have a multi lingual site or you are a content provider producing multi lingual content it would be in your interest to have a .EU as you will be entering a multi lingual and cultural society which to certain degree has not been tapped thus far by the USA adult industry.
