CHADGLNI - Show yourself or blow yourself!!
chadglni,
Thank you for coming here today. I have noticed how aggressively you attack domain sale threads. All opinions are appreciated, but in order to be taken seriously . . . you will need to share a bit of information. Please list your top ten most valuable domain names in your portfolio. Also, if you could include the value of each (in your own opinion). You have stated in a somewhat recent thread: Quote:
I really would love to see your top ten domain names and the value you place upon each of them. As it is, you just sound like a bitter jackhole just pissed off that other people might be having success selling their names. Now you might own some premium names, and you might be reasonable when evaluating domain names in today's market . . . but so far, I would say you appear to be just a bitter, angry nutjob. All I have seen from you in domain sale threads is hate and fairly inaccurate valuations. |

I dont want to sound like a bitch, but you yourself might want to tell a little bit about yourself, before calling someone out.
Not that I am defending him, because I dont like a LOT of the things I have seen him say to people. But if you are asking him to put it up, you may want to as well to show that you know what you are talking about. |

Just kidding. I am not the one going into domain sale threads and laughing at the sellers, telling them that they are full of shit and their prices are insane. I want the person who feels the need to yell out their opinion on all the domain sales to show why anyone would care what he says. Like I said, he might be a really smart guy . . . but I wouldn't guess that from what I have seen. When I start telling you what your domains are worth, then I will provide any info you might want from me. |

I am all too familiar with DHB and his opinions on valuations. This thread is for chaddy baby! I will never question him again if he posts (real) good domains with reasonable valuations. In fact, I will re-read a lot of his criticisms with a much more open mind. |

People in the maritimes often have little better to do than flame people living in civilization. It could be an insecurity thing, who knows? But Chad just seems to love jumping into drama threads and getting all riled up ... hey, it beats trawling for cod or collecting lobster traps all day.
(But on a serious note, I've met a few fishermen from the East Coast at SE shows who run the domain game ... they have serious coin. Hmmm, ever been to an SES show Chad? I may have gotten shitfaced with you one night and not remembered.) |

Am I the only one that noticed you have a contradiction with your posting title and your nickname?
Either way, it is obvious you don't know shit and like to babble a lot about others who do and call people out for rediculous name selling threads... Chad is the man and if I ever shake his hand someday, he will become an upstanding guy in my book. |

Chadglni, I would love to see the domain names that you felt were valuable enough to purchase. That is the TRUE test of a persons valuation. Words are just words, but when the cash is paid according to that valuation, that is when you know someone is not just talking smack.
Just list your top ten domain names that you own and what you think they are worth. You might be a very reasonable person trying to share your honest opinion with domain sellers. Sure, most of your opinions posted in "domains for sale" threads are just insults, and are no help to anyone, but whatever. Until you post your list, I won't be able to sleep. |

And in your thread, the only domains I said you were being nuts on are the low end ones, $500 I think. Does that mean you won't get $500 for some / all of them? Nope, sure doesn't. I didn't say a negative word about your 5 figure domains because in my OPINION they aren't listed at a retarded price. But if you must know, my problem with domain people is the fact that they get so pissy when someone thinks their domain is worth well under what they want to hear. Anybody with sense here understands that if you find the PERFECT buyer you can sell some stupid shit for big dollars. However, you normally don't find that chump by spamming your names anywhere, they come to you. DHB for example owns 20,000 "brandable" names by his definition. Of course he's found some people to pay big dollars over the years because he covers a huge market. He can't guess which name will sell for 50k or more right now because he might die with 19,500 of them. He will have made a shitpile of money on the 500 he did sell but that does not matter. Just because there is one person that might pay 50k for a name somewhere in the entire fucking world does not mean it's worth 50k. Hell you might find a billionaire that wants fuckmeintheass.com and will gladly pay 200k because it's the only one and YOU have it. Even after he's paid 200k the domain is worth no more than it was the day before. |

Ok, I understand what you are saying. I also don't think that your opinion is one I would follow, becuase I have enough experience buying and selling that I don't need any one person's opinion. Now, if I knew more about your experience buying and selling, then I might beg you for your opinion. I guess I also don't get why you think it benefits anyone when you bash a seller? Maybe it is just fun to post a funny insult once, but you were relentless in that thread. Go back and look how many posts you made insisting that those names are crap. Why not just let the threads with crap domains die with no buyers and no posters? |

Oh, and I pick domain threads because that is something I am interested in and all the domain people come out to play. Hard to get them all together anywhere else.

KRL, not to be misunderstood. What I meant in the post was that you know there are people that will pay top dollar for domains, even prices that give you chills, but you also understand that the odds of finding someone to pay that top dollar price on any specific domain aren't great. Sure if you have 1000 of them laying around you'll run into one of the mega buyers who will close a 5, 6, or 7 figure deal on a domain that is only worth that price to him but to actually expect if for a specific domain is ridiculous.

Hey, I wasn't trying to see if you had any "big" domain names. I just wanted to see your ~10 best (in your opinion) and the value of each (in your opinion). I really don't care if they are 1k or 100k names, I just want to see what domain you valued at those prices. This would give me a much better understanding of your opinions on domain name values. I must admit that it is fun to push GFY members buttons . . . hell, that is why I made this thread title so "rude." I was trying to get views and push your buttons. What I would like most is discover that you really know what you are doing in the domain name industry, but, I just don't see it in all the attack posts. There are people who post that I trust with their opinion on domain names. Those people really know their stuff. Sometimes I don't agree with their opinion on a particular valuation, but I always respect their opinion and keep it in consideration. The request for you to post some domain names and values is a quick and easy way for me (and any domain buyer or seller) to see that you might have a reasonable and thus, valuable opinion. There are a lot of great contributors on this board and I seek out their posts to learn what I can. You might be someone that people look for to gain knowledge, but you've got to provide something to help separate you from the Wackos! |
