Been on cable for years and it just got so damn clogged it wasn't all that fast anymore... plus they were capping the shit out of my uploads I assume because of all the vids I upload for clients.

Anyway I got Verizon's fiber service now (15mb down / 2mb up) and it's like going from the old modem to cable back in the day.

Me likey speedy!!!! I hope this service doesn't go down the shitter too. Anyone know if the fiber stuff is shared differently than cable across the wide area?

The difference is that FIOS was made to give you that speed, cable told you it would degrade as others are added and you share the pipe. If you live on a block where 20 kids constantly download Kazaa style, you will notice a big performance hit compared to if you lived on a block where you were the only internet user. With cable, 10mps is shared for an entire block. With FIOS, that is your share, no one elses.
