Will US banks accept a check torn in 2?
In my enthusiasm to open the post this morning, I accidently tore a check from Epoch into 2 peices.
Will US banks accept a check if it is sellotaped together ?

Most should. Paperclip a note to it saying what happened. Actually a check should say void on both parts before it should be totally refused. We've torn checks a few times and not had any problems.

As long as there are no pieces missing, it's ok. I got a check once, but it had a little piece that was torn missing, the bank did not accept it.

sometimes if some security features are missing they might not accept it, i guess if you have the whole check that'll do. i tore up a check once too and it was accepted.
