Is it possible to get a credit score above 700 without a house/car etc?
I can't seem to tip it over the 700 mark. Was there once, but its lagging again. I never miss a payment, I spend way more than the limit and pay it down several times each month, constantly paying it off. Is the lack of owning a house/car keeping me out of that range?

I thought this paragraph might help you.
"What many people don?t know is that credit scores don?t distinguish between those who carry a balance on their cards and those who don?t. So charging less can also improve your score -- even if you pay off your credit cards each month." From - http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/...ing/P38052.asp So it sounds like you should use your credit cards less and just carry a small balance. To the credit reporting agencies it might look like you're always carrying a large balance which really hurts your score. |

Sure, you don't need a house or a car for a 700. Just a good credit history.

I had 726 on all 3 bureau's with no house or car, just a revolving credit card.. no balance on it for a year straight
but... since I had no history, my 726 score was about as good as a 200 ![]()

I dont think they like alot of cards open with no balance. What they like to see is you using 5% to 20% of the avaliable credit I do belive.
