Isaac Hayes Leaves "South Park"

Isaac Hayes has parted ways with the Comedy Central series "South Park," citing the series' "inappropriate ridicule of religious communities" reports Reuters.

Hayes, who has voiced the character Chef since the series began in 1997, released a statement through his spokesman Monday requesting a release from his contract because he "is disappointed with what he perceives as a growing insensitivity toward personal spiritual beliefs."

"Park" co-creator Matt Stone issued a statement describing Hayes as a disgruntled Scientologist unhappy with a recent episode lampooning the organization's religious beliefs.

That is one of the things that was mentioned, that is why it makes me sad. Seems that a lot of peeps that follow Scientology are pretty cool then they freak out.....

they should have other cartoon characters from other shows appear on the show bucking for Chef's job. Could you see Barney from 'The Simpsons' showing up? Or Moe or Apoo? Or Family Guy? That shit would be funny.

The main female voice actress (the one who does Ms. Cartman and all the other females) was changed 3 times....and I never noticed before founding out on Wikipedia that one of them committed suicide...
