Why do most people in adult think it is ok to spread mis information?
I constantly see this, and it frustrates me because i know alot of people do take advice to heart for certain business decisions.
i see threads upon threads about certain companies with people complaining about them. but there is always the few who are friends with the owner who constantly stick up for them. also many many people post fake stats just to get affiliates, it is simply absurd. i see this more and more in adult, people take these things as little white lies, but it makes finding good information out there harder and harder for webmasters. why is this a common practise in adult? |

its the classic "smear and flight" technique. been going on since adult online began. you find message boards, drop a whole bunch of shit that you have no intention of proving or disproving. many people will just read thread titles and stay away from drama, but will remember when they hear program a's name that there was some kind of drama. i'm sure alot of people do it on purpose with alterior motives.
a common mis information tactic is dropping threads like "My conversion ratio with xxxxxxxxx program sucks" meanwhile, the poster doesnt tell you that he just started working in online 6 months previous and has the worst possible quality of traffic. people read this malarkey and it gets subliminally filed in their head that program xxxxxxxxx doesn't convert. propaganda has been perfected in adult. another common misinformational offense is the famous "program xxxxxxxxx doesn't pay" the truth of the matter is, most of the people posting threads like these made 4 sales x 30 bucks a sale over 4 months period time to make the minimum for payout, but do not understand the payout procedures from the TOS. this causes them to make a post because they need and rely on small checks earned over a long period of time. there are many more, but i don't feel like writing a novel right now. basically, i don't believe not ONE stats thread or drama thread on any message board. there are not two sides to any story, there are three. party a's story. party b's story. and, the infamous truth of the matter story. ![]() |

Is it a common practice? I don't see it much.
People need to test their OWN marketing with paysites. Simple as that.

![]() ![]() the worst imo is spreading misinformation about a certain sponsor. they will clearly be scamming people but their is always the few who jump out to defend them. |

I suppose it could also be considered sort of a survival of the fittest situation. The barriers of entry into adult are quite low with low cost hosting and the abdundance of free promotional content. Every Dick, Tom, and Harry can start his own website overnight. I suppose posting bullshit stats about programs to turn newbies onto the same played out shit that isnt going to convert with thier bottom rung traffic is perhaps a way to weed out the weak.
Just my 2 cents. |

yep i totally agree, some people feel the need to resort to that just for promotional reasons, but you can tell from a mile away who is around for the long haul and who is in the industry for quick cash. longterm possitive name and good business outweigh bullshit marketing schemes. |
