A little NATS tip to help sales...
This one isn't any great secret but since I opened Guaranteed Designs last week and am doing NATS support, I've noticed some guys just didn't think about it yet so I figured I'd share since I'm always trying to be the coolest kid on the block with the most free tips (and the longest run-on sentances). =]
One of the most used features in NATS is the cascading billing. Your user gets denied by one biller and they get sent to another. Simple enough. But most people will set up one biller as primary, another as secondary and never touch it again unless there is some major issue. One thing you can do to boost sales a bit is keep an eye on your Detailed Join Report and see how many people are filling out your join form but then not getting processed. Some may be scrubs, some may be people who got scared off by the biller page. If you are getting alot of failed joins like this though you should flip-flop your billers and make the secondary the new primary. Sometimes you may do this two or three times in a week but for whaveter reason it seems to help a bit a good portion of the time. I've heard several theories for why this would work and several more for why it shouldn't make a difference. All I know is that in the instances when I've measured doing so vs. not doing so, the result is better on doing so. At worst you've done nothing to hurt your sales and just fiddled with things and made yourself feel better about controlling the great scrub-o-meter. =]

Mark you should throw up a blog on your design site to archive all these great tips. It would get you alot of repeat traffic to your site and help out alot of folks.
You tips over the years are always IMO 100% spot on |

Possibly you develope a backup of denied clients who want to try again tomorrow? Perhaps when the first page says no, they don't wait for the second?
Flip flopping in this situation would give them a new screen they have never tried before. Is the flip flop in anyway controlled by javascript? Possibly they have it desabled and never get flipped? |

ok here is a thought
Why do all cascades flip to a pre filled CC join form? I have been thinking of adding a jump page Sorry your CC was declinded Show them they can pay by check Show them they can pay by phone Show them they can pay by epass or paypal what ever Show them they HAVE NOT BEEN CHARGED and can try their CC at a different gateway Thoughts? |

Another thing you can do is save the failed joins info and email those people iin blocks with other options. I worry about privacy with stuff like that but it's a viable option.
