Some techie help please?

Incident Information:-

Database: D:/Lotus/Domino/Data/mail1.box
Originator: webmaster <[email protected]>
Recipients: [email protected]
Subject: Givisizez
Date/Time: 04/27/2002 06:27:27 PM

The file attachment rte..exe you sent to the recipients listed above was
infected with the W32/Klez.h@MM virus and was not successfully cleaned.

I got this message a few minutes ago and I run my virus scanner each and every day, and it comes up when I get an infected email and deletes all this virus shit. But I just got this and have gotten similar ones over the past 2 or 3 days.

I have the most updated McAfee there is, and have run it ALOT, but it shows nothing on my pc........ how can I be sending out a virus when I don't show I have it? And I DO NOT send emails out with attachements very often at all...... maybe once a week to a couple of friends or something.

Am I safe or am I sending out a virus unknowingly?

Tam

A Virus is based on the fact that the files need to be "hidden" from you or your virii software to run and perform its assigned duty. I would certainly be curious to where "it" was if the software hasn't found it, yet the defintion or file name associations are triggering your virii software.

mule, thanks babe...... I got it and am going to run that, thanks so much.

And Fletch, I am fully aware of what a virus is, I didn't just wake up yesterday. I simply asked why I would be getting this when now 3 different scanners say I don't have a virus. And my scanners do attck the files sent to me, I am not concerned with those, it was the thought of my sending them out that was my concern when all scanners say I don't have it.

As always baby mistaking my stern calculated response for some degree of rank placement, I was simply saying a Virus is based on hiding from you, so if your software isn't detecting something you should be worried.

I love the way you tickle me though baby.
