1280 is a waste of bandwidth. You can scale it down to 640x360 and drop the bitrate down to 3M/sec... maybe even 2M/sec@30fps, and still get pretty much the same quality, and a 5min video will be right at around 100Mb.

Yeah, saw it now, definitely needs to be de-interlaced. I don't know if that will help with compression. I also think you could probably getting away with compressing further without much noticeable difference, but that's just MHO.

it will take at least 5 yrs before hd is the norm :
first end user tend to be on shitty old computers with crt monitors second dial up is still pretty big third shit shot in hd is still shit fourth someone wants to jack off they are not going want to wait 10 mins to download a clip,Im on cable and still takes quite a while to download. I think people embrace hd in adult because of the lack of creativity, you shoot hot creative stuff it could be on hi 8 and people would want it. Also Hdv doesnt work for the gonzo model you have to light it right or it looks like shit and for the most part people in porn dont like to go to classes.
