Well what do they do when they get out of their cars and chase someone? They leave a $30,000 car behind. You think anyone is going to steal one of those from a cop if they park it? If a cop is cruisin around some bad neighborhoods on a Segway and he has to get off and chase some bad guy on foot. He's gonna have to leave the Segway behind. It will take all of 30 seconds for some punk to hop on that thing and ride off into the sunset. There goes $9,000 down the hole.

from what i was told,, it has a special grip on the handle bars in which it will only allow that driver to operate it
