You probably have never bought any business. When someone sells a business, they ask for well more than 2 months revenue. Most investments my father and I have made through our investment company show that its more like 1 year or more.

A company that makes 7K a month is doing something and anyone with a brain can make money off something that is already producing.

Oh yeah Claude ... good luck on the sale. I don't think you are out of line at all asking your price.

What he said (and thank you :) )

NB: The correct amount is 8K a month.

I mean if it is really what you say it is, why sell?

I understand why many would think like that and you make a valid point. However, these are my reasons for selling:

Professionaly:
Iīm working both adult (since 99) and regular mainstream webdesign. About a year ago, i made my own CMS koncept for smaller mainstream businesses and offers complete packages with graphics and support. At this point iīm getting more customers than i handle and thatīs just from people contacting me directly because they heard about me from existing customers. When i started doing "interweb" in 1999 i intended to do mainstream webdesign for local businesses but soon found myself doing adult instead. Adult is doing great for me but i find it more satisfying to get "out" and actually talk to people and develop business relationsships, so doing mainstream works better for me at this point in my life. Besides, my adult sites takes to much of my time (stressing me out because I feel that I neglect them), but i still find that coming to GFY and other boards always gives me an excuse to do some more adult, because there are so many opportunities in adult. Therefore I need to cut down a little and concentrate more on the mainstream. Thereīs just not enough hours in day to do everything that I want to do.

Personally:
I have a daughter who is 6 years old and iīm getting a son in April. I just got married and I just bought a new house, which we are moving into in 2 weeks. Getting the house and the new baby will take a lot more of my time and i would prefer to spend time with my children and wife instead of living in front of the PC. Iīm not one of the people that tell my family about the adult sites i run, some do that, some donīt. I would like to look my children in the eyes and tell them what I do without having to lie to them. For that reason as well as the others mentioned, I have decided to sell some of my adult sites and domains (and 1 mainstream site)

Besides, itīs stressing me out to constantly think about what I should be doing with this. I always have new ideas, and most of the time I find myself thinking: Stop it - concentrate on 1-2 thing a take them all the way.

I have decided to put my effort into my mainstream business at this time.
