I don't think any of the leasweb guys wants to put their business reputation
on the line for this forum. Leaseweb is a pretty big hosting provider in NL. They really have their own network, loads of mainstream customers etc, etc. I'm quite sure that if I go there and talk to them (I know them) and let them know that if they pursue they will get hurt that they will come to reason. I mentioned earlier they also have a hosting suite in the datacenter where I have my office. Everybody knows eachother and rumours like them having a forum that links to copyrighted material will do them no good. Therefor I want information from sites that have their content listed there. Dutch people don't get intimidated quickly and certainly not big providers....they get these kind of emails every day. But once they see what's going on plus the fact that we are serious about it......afterall I'll be showing up face to face with them they will surely change their mind very quickly. They have no real idea that this is serious.....emails and forum tough talk won't scare them or impress them. Showing up and letting them see the emails of different companies who are willing to go all the way by getting their content removed will make them realise very quickly that continuing to do this is not a smart plan. They are a respectable company and have a lot to lose. They are no adult hosting company only. They have been around for years and without a shadow of a doubt will they be willing to risk their business. Their hosting company makes a LOT more than their forum. And trust me I can be very convincing and of course that will be without any treaths, tough talk or use of any kind of violence. I'm very confident that all we have to do is show them it's serious and that they have to stop it. Once I'm there I guarantee they won't even argue. :thumbsup |
Sorry for the long text.....I think I said the same thing 3 times :1orglaugh

I'm in. You know that.
I'm more than willing to come with you to the datacentre as well. |

Will I need to force entry? Do they allow Baseball Bats on European flights? :winkwink: (joke) |
DynaSpain, your post needs a new thread.

Yes...security and all. Dynaspain is right as well. Leaseweb themselves have been around for some time now. If you want to hit somebody, look up the guy at home, not at the office. I might come along and have beers afterwards :winkwink: |

Sounds like the Mafia from the back end of Europe have got that one covered already :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |

guys on a daily basis. I can just walk up to their office and have a chat with them. As mentioned before that's all what will be done. No bullshit, no tough talk. If I just explain them the situation they will understand. They know that I have a lot of adult programs/companies that are my clients.....they will take me seriously without a doubt. If they don't change their mind then they will just tell me but I'm quite sure if they see that this not just a few kiddies that are pissed off because they lose 3 surfers then they will be reasonable enough to stop it. Any kind of hassle over something like this won't be worth it for them. They run a good company which to them is far more important than just some forum. If not then we'll know and can take further steps....but they would really be stupid if they won't come to reason. I'm quite sure they're not that stupid. Leaseweb is not just some 3 kids company with 15 servers. They just don't back off for some emails.....I wouldn't either. :2 cents: |

It's not necesary and you catch more flies with honey than with vinagre :upsidedow They are a company not some punkass kids without a brain......allthough this wasn't a very smart move by them. I'm quite sure management is NOT aware about this. |

I wonder if Modding RIP is worth risking your job. I doubt it. We'll see. |

if you refer, Zyber, to "The Darker Element" and if this about some businessmen living in Eastern Europe and have some proof then this will getting very interesting indeed.

I definately ain't getting involved in that. We're trying to get rid of things the right way. |

I have no idea who "The Darker Element" are. I just made a funny (?) comment about the word. |

Time out gentlemen please
This is why nothing will ever get done - whenever anything like this comes up GFY spends so much time bitching amongst themselves that they forget what the point was in the first place. If you are going to do anything - just do it - dont bother telling GFY until after the event - I like the drama and the build up as much as the next man - but for once I would like to see some results. |
Zyber ............. it is ok but you should not make funny remarks K ?
this seems to be serious so funny remarks are not in order. although I agree it is GFY |
Feel free to visit the iPixxx.com forums and iCelebpicturez.com forums while RIP is down!

thats what I thought what we need to do is get it out in the open to their clients, theyre running a ripped porn forum. Leaseweb isnt a small company, but if they lose a few big clients, theyll rethink. LeaseWeb P.O. Box 616 3500AP Utrecht Netherlands Account number: 49.92.36.637, ABN-AMRO Bank - Utrecht BIC: ABNANL2A IBAN: NL61 ABNA 0499 2366 37 Thats the banking data. Time to pull some strings there at ABN. |
Huh Bob? Are you blind? Haven't you seen all the threads about Rip being actaully dead now? No need to drag Leaseweb into this any further :1orglaugh
