Any musicians around? Problem with sound.

I am having some kind of issue with the sound of my bass cutting out for a few seconds on the amp. I can not pinpoint what it is at this point the bass, the amp or the speaker. I have new cords and have moved all them a bit to see if it was the jack but that does not seem to be it either.

Could it maybe be the battery for the active pickups?

What would cause just a few seconds of silence?

Thanks

Not that either but there is a compressor on the amp that when switching on and off kind of mimics the effect. But dont think that is what is doing it.

Though I should probably try moving the amp off of the cab and see if that has something to do with it ...

what is the threshold settings on the compressor on the amp? when you tweak on it, does it make a difference?

When I move it from the starting point it kind of clicks to show that it is going on and it is between this point that it cuts out as it switches.

I almost always have it off. But would take a lot to have it move without me moving it ...

Does it account for short times of this happening?
Before when battery was dying was not like this.
Like in half hour maybe happens once or twice.
I did the toungue test on the 9 volt battery and seemed ok?

Thanks

short or ground. if you have intermittent issues with them, theres a good chance that somethins loose inside. how old is the amp/(pa?)

try change battery too. a weak battery is enough to shock ya but not enough to get electricty through the electronics.

Thanks for your help I am hoping it is the battery.

The amp is the hartke model ha3500 and have had it over 5 years I think at least. Cab is the 410 bass module x-l series.

and bass is 20th anniversary limited edition ernie ball musicman stingray.

Sometimes it does sound hissy but not latley the short or ground also sounds like it could be an issue. I may have to just bring everything in

edit: also the amp did fall a while back and could have something to do with it as well. arghhhh

Looks like an awesome set up you have there

Ok I have narrowed it to the hartke head

Now when I turn it on it is taking a few minutes to hear any sound. I play and then in a few minutes sound will work. Could this be the fuse? Or maybe it is to hot? Or is something really messed up here are some pics ...

this amp plays good but it isn't the most reliable, it has cut out when playing and it takes a while for sound to come out of the amp after you turn it on. plus the effects don't always work
