Hey Fuck Heads... How Many of you Pay for ALL the Music on Your Computer?

I see some of the same people posting anti-GUBA messages that have told me in the past to STFU when I mention how they're stealing music when they download it without paying for it.

Stealing is stealing. If you haven't paid for all the music on your computer you can't say shit about GUBA.

By the way, I think GUBA is horrible and I'm very disappointed they were allowed to advertise here, but I'm also highly annoyed by the people who are posting against GUBA just because it hits them in their wallet, yet they think nothing about trading MP3s.

I pay for my MP3s. Always have.

And before that, I've also paid for hundreds (perhaps thousands) of vinyl albums, cassettes and music cd's by a vast array of musicians over the years.

The music industry has always made a pretty penny outta my pocket.

I buy all mine too. Someone once uploaded a Led Zeppelin song to GFY that I couldn't find on iTunes. I downloaded it, then felt bad about that so I went to the music store and bought the CD. Stealing is stealing.

Donny I can understand your point but the problem is much different. You can get free programs to download music for free. We are not making or losing money if someone downloads a Metallica song and doesn't pay for it.

The reason this Guba thing hit home today is that is about our industry and is taking money off peoples tables we know.

I'm sure the people that run Guba know there is material on there that shouldn't be, but they will only take it down IF asked.

Now the difference between downloading music using say bearshare, etc and downloading stuff from Guba is, Guba charges you to download stuff they know shouldn't be up there.

Stealing is stealing. Downloading music and not paying for it is just as bad as what GUBA is doing. Hypocrisy is Hypocrisy. Someone is getting hurt in both instances. Just because you don't personally know Metallica or think they can afford to let a few million people download their songs free does NOT make it right.

Those who download songs without paying for them have NO RIGHT to express frustration with GUBA.

Re-read my post. All of them, actually, but especially the last half of the very first post that started this thread. You obviously didn't read well enough to comprehend what I wrote because you wouldn't have posted something so totally incorrect if you had.

Since Donny admitted he didn't pay for ALL of his own music then he can't complain if we steal his content. I get dibs on the pic TexasDreams posted.

Donny I agree with you... I have not expressed my frustration in any of the Guba threads for a number of reasons. One there were too fucking many of them and two I don't promote them.

Maybe the affiliate programs should hire the klickrevenue sig whores to go through Guba and note which content should be taken down.

My question is after a company complains and the content is taken down, does Guba keep track of it and automatically delete anything belonging to that company? I would think not.

You missed the point of my response. I didn't say one was better than the other but if someone posts a mp3 on GFY we are not going to have 85 threads about like we did with Guba

How valuable would Guba be if they blocked the queries ? Not very, which is why they won't even though it's the easiest solution. They COULD block search queries for terms, but won't. That should say a lot. Instead of a search for "Tawnee Stone" being blocked for example, you get pages of tawnee pics.

Exactly and that is why I think Guba will take down content that shouldn't be there but won't delete it when it shows up again tomorrow. Perhaps the answer is for all the affiliates and content shooters to send a generic email every day to Guba.

It isn't. Downloading songs may be stealing, but what Guba does is stealing and reselling - in other words, they're doing it for monetary profits. Different things, legally.

I actually subscribe to my music through Yahoo and SIRUS and have my own custom channels made.

SPeaker set up reaches downstairs now and the upstairs.

For $9.95 a month its worth every penny.

I value all artistic works in media its not right to beligerently enjoy somthing someone else made without at least recognising them.

Your point is valid but it's a stretch, honestly.

I don't think someone downloading songs to their PC means they can't be pissed off when a service sells their stolen content for a fee.

You're joking, I'm sure.

"i have spent thousands of dollars"

and

"i cant afford the cd"

don't go very well together.

I don't think someone downloading songs to their PC means they can't be pissed off when a service sells their stolen content for a fee.

OMG, you're NOT serious! The person stealing the copyrighted works of another individual is then pissed off when someone else steals their own copyrighted work... LOL Don't make me laugh!

It is just as bad. It is not equivalent.

I am proud to say that I've purchased all of my music, either via cd or legally on line.

And all you fuckers who download music illegally without paying for it.... Keep in mind that everything you do on the Internet is tracked. EVERYTHING. When the feds come knocking on your door looking for a way to lock up you, the pornographer, they'll find your music, discover you didn't pay for it, and lock your ass up.

Last year a woman here in Phoenix got nailed to the tune of $14k because her son downloaded music for years.
