I miss the old non-digital manual cameras of days gone by.
Though times have changed and technology offers some really neat options. There is something very fulfilling about capturing that photo with perfect composition, just the right lighting and a good use of positive and negative space. Oh the old Fish Eye lens was fun too. |

If you're starting with nothing and looking for a good digital SLR, go with Canon. I've been a Nikon shooter since I started, but Canon has a definite edge in the digital SLR arena. If cost is not an issue, get a Canon 5D ($3200, plus lenses) and you'll be very happy. Unless you're a sports shooter (or you're shooting a girl who fucks at 150mph) you don't need the faster frame rate cameras. |
