Ouch!!! Dislocated my shoulder!!!!

Sorry forgot to get pics, I was in too much pain. Playing Basketball yesterday here at the office with the crew, made a move for the ball, caught the edge of someone's shoe and went strait into a brickwall.

Never realized they had to put you under just to set it back.

OUCH!!!

Who else has had this kinda fun??

Ouch is right!! I fully dislocated my right arm about two years ago...playing tennis. lol. OMG...I've been shot with a .38 in my right femur and the dislocation hurt way worse! And ya they put me under for a few minutes to force it back in place. Man, I think twice about playing hard tennis now. lol

i messed my shoulder up pretty good when i was in high school playing lacrosse.

doctor said it was one of the worst dislocations he had ever seen. now it dislocates almost at will because i've done it so many times i've ruined the tendons.

have fun with that. it's some of the worst pain you can ever be in.

Yep, a dislocated shoulder is one of the most painful things that can happen to a man -- lol -- childbirth beats it, sorry fellas --

I fell off a cliff in Yosemite in '99 -- popped my right shoulder out on impact. Funny thing, once I realized I wasn't dead, the first thing I felt was embarrassed -- can ya believe it -- I also snapped some pix. I won't post them, though -- it was quite hideous

webmasters doing any sport should be illegal, chess might be ok if they don't try to move the figures too fast

I have got chronic dislocation of my shoulder. To the point that the ball slips out of the joint and seperates up to 1 1/4 inches down inside my arm. I have dislocated mine about 30 times and even had a failed surgery to fix it. I have to agree, I have been shot twice and there is no comparison to the pain of dislocation in the shoulder.

Ouch, Gothbox -- good thing the nurses in Yosemite (who were absolute Angels, btw) scared me real good before I left. They said:

"If you don't 100% IMMOBILIZE that arm for 3 weeks you will suffer repeat dislocations for the rest of your life!"

Well, fuck.

I dislocated mine back in November during hockey game. Still hurts like a bitch when I make wrong move. It will take about 6 month to heal, but you?re stuck with it for life now.. this is how mine looked like..

I've dislocated mine over 20 times in the past few years but finally had surgery on it last fall and it was the best decision I ever made!

I dislocated mine 4 weeks ago while snowboarding. I couldn't use it for 3 weeks, and now I get therapy to learn to move it again, it could take a while before it's back to normal. It sucks.

Mine was when I was still 12 years old. I also got it from basketball though it's not on my shoulder but on my left arm.

I have also experienced that dude when I was in high-school. You can never avoid such accident, I hope the healing process would be fast.

Had the same with snowboarding. I was put 'under'' tho. Just got some drugs, and they 'did' it.

First 2 weeks full time(even sleeping) with mitella/sling then only during daytime etc. After 2 weeks I got therapie etc. After 8 weeks I was fully normal again, and had no pain at all. I still don't notice that I had this.

It's pretty important tho, that you follow the advice of the doctors. DO NOT use your arm the first 2 weeks Or your muscles will be to wide, and it will keep dislocating...

BTW it was the most painfull thing I ever had. 2 weeks I had a serious accident with my ankle, and it was not half as painfull

I dislocated both shoulder in a motorcycle mishap . . Didn't get them put back for almost a week . . . eventually I had to get 2 separate operations to fix stuff . . still permanently disabled behind it . . so I guess I've had that fun on 10
