Can encrypted code be unencrypted?

How can one unencrypt encrypted code? Is it possible? Can it be done? How is it done? Is it easy? Is encrypted code really secure or safe?

lol, for a minute there, I thought Neo was a software program.. gotcha now, from "The Matrix" right.

It depends on the encryption method, but for the most part Yes.

I didnt really read the program to find out what method it is, but it's one of those free encryption utilities found on the interweb

I know the encryption prevents dreamweaver from being able to display it in design view.

Depends how fast your computer is. Depends on the cipher. Depends on how big the blocks are. Depends how many bits the encryption is made of. And finally, it depends on how cleverly designed the algorithm is. All encryption is breakable.

Then chances are if someone wants it, they will get it.

so, what's recommended for encryption if I want to make it 100% inaccessible to everybody & everything except browsers for viewing the page

Well, the page is encrypted now, and the browser is able to display pages, I just want a secure & safe way of prevention people from seeing the source code. I do not think I can use SSL on a virtual hosting account

I knew that it's not nsa encryption, just looking into protecting the source code, and of course I'm paranoid of thieves. Too many of them.

But how easy or difficult is it to decrypt for the "average" webmaster.

html encryption only generally protects you from the most lazy of thieves

if they're really determined they can reverse engineer it - if your browser can deciphire it, so can people

that's pretty much it. html encryption has limited use, and personally I wouldn't spend time worrying about it

the only other way you could hide stuff is server side with dynamic pages, but it depends what you want to hide...etc

most 'decent' html encryption is javascript based. pretty much sums up how difficult it would be to crack

of course, encryption would kill any on page seo...

There is no way to encrypt a page securely, while making it still displayable in a browser... any script kiddie can crack those javascript encryptors in minutes...

Oh my good lord... stop dicking around idiotic things like that and focus on building more and more pages and shit to actually get more and more traffic to your sites and make some money.

It's a complete waste of time to try and encrypt your pages.. I mean fuck man.. they've broken the Zend encription for php programs.
