XM/Sirius Question
If you bought a car that only had XM as an option can you switch a reciever and software in a factory radio to receive Sirius instead?

Yes, from what I hear, there's parts that make it very easy to switch over. You might wanna contact one of the local installers to be sure that they can for your model.

I've only had the car for two days and I already dislike XM as compared to Sirius. I never really liked XM. |

Both my car and my wife's are GM's... both had XM's, and we switched both to Sirius. No comparison in my opinion.

I had an XM top of the line portable reciever with a years free service. It even had a built in antannae and rechargable battery. Definitely the shit for an XM reciever. I sold it for $225 bucks for the whole package and service and went Sirius. Heard enuff XM on DirecTv to know thats not what I wanted. Cant wait til I can afford a a car to put a car kit in. |
