^ trying to make commission from you. I've heard plenty of horror stories about dreamhost. Go with LunarPages.com their virtual accounts have me one happy camper.

Yup 23.40 for a full year. 1TB transfer per month, and 20GB storage, and it includes a free domain name if you want one through them. Also you roll over some of your monthly transfer bandwidth each week. Think its 8gb a week rolls over. But hey we are only sharing to make that mad commission cash. Who would think someone trying to help a guy out, just out of the goodness of their hearts. lolhttps://dreamhost.com/signup/?next_step=Index 12 months for 119.00 comes out to 23.40 after promotional code. Bet this deal is gone fast now. lol |

dreamhost.com allows their users to create custom codes that kick back part of the referral fee to the current customer and discount part to the new customer.
there are many promo codes available. i'm looking at 25+ right now. |

Service is good, but the features suck.
You can't even run certain PHP scripts, because they ban the usage of some call functions. |

Standard DreamHost warning.... They do not bill based on bandwidth. They only look at your CPU usage, so forget about running many kinds of scripts there.

Well any shared host that tells you that you can run whatever you want and use as much cpu/memory/mysq memory is not going to be a very good host to begin with. You get what you pay for.
I dont know of a shared solution out there that can handle a popular TGP or MGP due to the resources needed. Sure, hosts can offer 1 or 2 TB of bandwidth but the fact is that if all their users are loading the crap out of the server, it isnt going to stay up for long.
