Disappointed With Howard Stern

Ya know, I'm kinda disappointed with Howard Stern. I live in an area where he was never on, so I was really excited when he jumped to Sirius, but got let down with a few things.

First off, it sucks because he doesn't have a Friday show, secondly is that they should at last repeat the show mid-day on at least one of the channels OR at least on the weekend play all of the week's shows for those that missed them during the week. They won't play Howard on the weekend, but yet they'll replay Bubba The Love Sponge.

The next thing that gets me is how big his head is, it's REALLY blown up, he's always talking how he saved Sirius and how Sirius units are sold out everywhere because of him, then he's knocking everyone else like O&A who in my opinion give me more laughs than he does. Sure, you are helping Sirius and you are a big time talk host, but do we have to hear about it all the time ???? Then there's all the news they have, why do you need to play that so much, people want to hear the show, not fucking news about it.

I know, I know, I can always just not listen to the channel if I'm not happy. I'm not a pro-XM listener, I actually have both, I love the music on Sirius much better than XM, but I like Opie & Anthony on XM for talk. It's nice because you can hear their show almost any time of the day.

Does anyone else agree with me or is it just me ???

Yes my disappointment came when he palyed commercials on 'commercial free radio'.
and then when I found out he wouldn't be doing Fridays I was livid...something he 'conveniently' left out in all his talk before hand.

I had to decide if the rest of the package was worth it. You do have a fabulous amount of music and extras to choose from and the content of the his show is immensly better. They can have a guest, or caller, tell a story without bleeps and not to mention portions of stories not even approached because they could'nt find ANY way of telling it without being fined. It's not about hearing the 'F' word...it's about all the shit that can't be said on regular radio.

The only thing bugging me about the Stern show on Sirius is that 80% of their bits/topics revolves around homosexuality.. I dont care who is fuckign gay or gay guys coming in talking about their famous lovers.. bring on the hot chicks and wackpack.

Whats ironic is here in Vegas, Adam Corrolla replaced Howard and I find myself listening to him instead. He can be fucking hilarious.

I listen to Howard and Buba everyday..

I love it.

I dont listen to much music anymore on my Sirus, just 101 and 100.

I really enjoy it.

Ya know I was concerned about that too.

How would someone who was only intresting for pushing the limits going to fair in a new dynamic where there are no limits.

Would he be intresting??

The answer is yeah.. He's the same ole howard.

And its still just as good.. When the on demand system gets better, its gunna rock...

Not true, but it plays at a better time here in the Pacific area..

BuBa for us is brand new. And everyone likes something new. BuBa is great, he's new for me..

But in the Long run Howard is Howard.. And Buba is no Howard.

But yeah he's entertaining and runs a pretty kick ass show. I find myself listening to it more simply because of scheduling.. Its a great show, but if both were on at the same time, Id probably be at howard.

No matter what anyone says, Howard is still the KING of Radio......

I just think its Sirus that needs to work out some kinks with the scheduling.

I don't think you were paying attention. Sirius has 100% commercial-free music but all the other channels have commercials.

I am a bit dissapointed that he is not doing fridays but four days a week of Howard is four days more than I got before Sirius.

The show replays at Midnight if you miss the mornings.

Howard is Howard. If you don't like him, there are 150 other channels.

I wonder how big Howard's audience is now. I know Sirius has a lot of subscribers but all of them aren't Howard listeners. Hell, he had something like 20 million listeners before Sirius. That has to be crushing his ego...

But, $500 million is making the pain go away I'm sure.

500 millions is in stocks I think ... his 100 mill this year was like 220 mill since stocks doubled +

That would mean that he's the highest paid in show business... even more then speilberg and lucas.

Yeah, but the only bad thing is that he's only on 8 hours (4 hours + 4 hour replay) per channel. I know that he does stay late in the morning for news, but I'm just figuring show hours.

So we've got 8 hours times 4 days a week, that's 32 hours out of 168 hours per week. If you want to figure in the other channel, that's 64 hours out of 336 total airplay hours. I just don't understand how on one of the channels they can't do an extra mid day replay or at least on the weekend replay all of the week's shows.

I have my Sirius hooked up in the office, Howard is on right now. I have no complaints. The show is more free now and it's essentially the same show as it was before. No complaints again.

As far as commercials go, they are minimal and not a problem to me.

To the best of my knowledge Sirius has ads on nearly all of the talk stations.
