yes, with actions, or check the file manager (or whatever it is called in english) - it has a bunch of automations
|

Although i haven't done it for reducing file size - i have used photoshops file browser for batch renaming. File browser should be located near your brushes tab at the top left of the window.

Try to use the program IrfanView. It does great job on the stuff like you described above and does it much quicker than Photoshop.
