Hey man, I'm sorry to hear that for you. My sympathies to you and your family.

I haven't been to many funerals but while they've all been sad, some were handled with a lighter sense of happy rememberance than the typical sadness.

No I mean, they are somber occasions, but unless you're crying too, it's really difficult sometimes to see a hysterical mourner and not find it funny. For me anyway. I may be cursed.

you wanna hug you loved ones a little tighter...

No shit. My grandma recently died. Funerals are shitty.

Call me cold and uncaring, I have not genuinely cried at a funeral. I don't think that I'm unemotional, I think that I just accept death as a part of life. It's the one thing you can't schedule or predict. You never know just when your time will come and that's sad.

It makes you want to live life to the fullest, be a good person and try to make the world a better place with your time here.

Just respect the deceased family and try to be helpful in any way you can. Don't eat cause there is probably going to be lots of food afterwards....bring tissues to offer to those weeping uncontrollably...just be a friend.

Well made it thru the first one. Must say it was a big eye opener to me.
Just seeing my friends dad laying in the casket was very shocking...

Kind of morbid... Extend my condolences to the bereaved families.
