DataMG heads up

It looks as if the Data Management Group www.datamg.com is dead in the water. Their contact phones, both fax and voice, have been disconnected and e-mails to support are going unanswered.

Anyone have any upstream info on them? (And, yes, drive C: has been duly reformatted and, figuring who all had fucked them, I did wear a condom).

That's correct, freeones. Their boxes and pipes are still up 'n running, but the company itself seems to have died. I only became aware of the situation today when I went to transfer my remaining domain with them onto my (first!) dedicated host.

I don't need them to do the transfer, of course, I just felt that I should alert anyone using them of the issue. They were always very responsive to problems in the past but, if there really isn't anyone at the desk currently, no telling how long the remaing clients will have a functioning site...

What contact info are you using? Tim should be there to take care of anything you need. I would try [email protected] If you still don't get a response from them, post here and I'll see if I can contact them for you.

I used [email protected] as well as [email protected], both of which resulted in responses within an hour before now. More disturbing is their phone number (570-278-7640) being disconnected.

I see e-mail to my domain is now being relayed through eagle.ai.net instead of phantom.datamg.net, I'll contact them tomorrow and see if they have any info. Perhaps they've taken over Datamg???

datamg is alive and well. ALL email sent to us including [email protected] mail is answered as always,
in a timely fashion. We are definately still in business and have no plans whatsoever of closing. No sites hosted with us are in jeopardy of going offline.

After relocating our machines to a new facility, we changed our numbers and the person that handled our web site apparently failed to update the pages. That's no excuse, we should have been more attentive to our own site. I will have the pages updated with the correct phone numbers today.

I apologize for any inconvenince that this might have caused.
