Hooking Up An LCD Monitor With A 25 Foot Or Longer DVI Cable??????

I'm think about moving my PC's out of the office and into the "storage/server" room next door so that basically each PC has only a monitor, keyboard and mouse in the office. I would need to use at least a 25 foot cable to do so. What I'm wondering is can this be done without experiencing any visual degradation in picture quality on the monitor. This of course would be done using high-quality DVI cables. I found this cable:http://www.comprehensiveinc.com/product.asp?category%5Fname=DVI+Cables&product%5Fi d=DVIDP%2DP%2D25DUHR

It claims: "virtually no loss over long cable runs" however I'm sure their definition of "virtually" varies from mine. So, does anyone have any experience hooking-up an LCD monitor using DVI cables 25 feet or longer? Thanks for any feedback on this.

25 feet is not too far, you should be OK. I haven't personally experienced using a turbo-long DVI cable, but i've used an ultra-turbo long mouse cable and have noticed some wierd stuff occasionally.

I guess you should just hook it up and see what happens it's probably fine for your work.

I use a KVM over CAT5 unit from BlackBox. It works great.

Here's a link to a similar one on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Black-Box-ACU100...QQcmdZViewItem

It works great.

My 50" VGA cables work well to run my plasma monitor. I couldn't even find DVI that long. I look forward to hearing your results.
