I tend to like songs that talk about the destruction of the earth and change instigated by false prophets and lie's.

Different songs had different effects on me for different reasons..and at different ages.

But what group had the most effect on me was listening to Pink Floyd in an outdoor Mercado in Mexico while tripping on Acid.

I liked Pink Floyd before then, but that night I guess I was about 22 sitting there listening to them of course high as a kite my whole perspective changed on a lot of things.

I grew up in the 70's so a lot of this music I listened to because of my older brother and sister but I didn't really LISTEN to it.

So I spent a lot of time revisiting some great bands from the 60's and 70's like The Doors, Zeppelin, The Who etc.

This put me on a spiritual journey that lasted for a few years including being in a ceremony with a Navajo medicine woman taking peyote. That night me and another buddy were adopted into the Navajo Nation.

I look at myself now, and I wonder how I got so lost. I am not the man I used to be. But are anyof us really?

(The lack of a 'quick reply' button is starting to piss me off)

The Cult's 'Love' disc for me, though U2's WAR started about everything for me. And old Talking Heads.

Though the Momentary Lapse of Reason disc by PF was, and is, one my melancholy discs.

I was 13 years old listening to AM radio and then I heard the song that blew my mind and a couple of others that set the course,,

Won't Get Fooled Again - the WHO
Black Dog - Led Zeppelin
Iron Man - Black Sabbath
Highway Star - Deep Purple
I Don't Need No Doctor - Humple Pie

After that I was totally addicted.
