Do you guys research hosts before going with them?

I've seen a pattern where a bunch of people will say a host is "stand up" and the rest just follows the bandwagon. Actually i have seen this pattern on almost anything on gfy. (host, affiliate programs ext)

Do you guys actually go and research the host?

Of course not. Everyone here is stupid and believes everything everyone else says.

You'd be an idiot NOT to research a host before going with them.

What sort of research are you talking about??

You can't use anything you read on GFY and if you've been thru a few hosts you soon come to realize it's a crap shoot.. You could have great service with a host but someone else gets crap service.. You could have great service for a year or 2 and then it turns to crap... Shit happens with ANY host.

theres a handful of hosts that are rock solid for years, ask yourself which hosts NEVER have a thread about them?

You can't really go by that either... I don't think either of my 3 hosts (who never promote on here) have ever had a bad thread on GFY but that doesn't mean they're great hosts.. They have their problems..
