I believe thats why they charge u for being late in the first place.. and if it does go on collection, they would LOVE to call ur mom.

Having said that, if u read other threads about splitinifity, ppl have wrote tickets and have heard nothing. They have told ppl their boxes would be up in an hour, and nothing.

i can go on.. but really... move ur boxes there and enjoy the experience.

Couldn't agree more. So many of the small to mid level adult hosts out there are completely shady and ridiculous. I got caught with my pants down when Cogent lost its peering in Octover/November, I would never host on Cogent and even questioned the owner at that price I was getting if it was Cogent. You could imagine my surprise when my server was innaccessible because it was on Cogent, and when I called up to get an answer, they transferred me right to a billing guy and wanted to get my credit card so they could charge me more before they put me on "premium" bandwidth. Eventually they realized I was right (probably because they do this to a lot of people), and moved me back over to premium bandwidth without a charge or monthly increase.

My advice: host with Isprime, they won't pull that bullshit. The big webhosts are big for a reason.. it's because people never leave. These small-mid level guys I would never host with, based on my exprience from hosting with 3 or 4 of them...

Here we go with the GFY jump on the bandwagon crap. It gets old. Sounds to me like they are having some issues with their bandwidth providers, and doing their best to resolve the situation. Every email they send out, or update they send out will only prolong the issue. Yes it might make you a bit less anxious, but I would prefer to allow them the time they need to make it a non issue. To all you trolls that jump on any company that has an issue. :321GFY It gets old. Also get off Joel's case. He did his best to take some time and let people know what is going on. No he isnt a master of the written word, at least he made an effort to get information to you.

Cogent isn't always bad...it's only bad sometimes :) But if you specifically ask for a certain carrier and base your purchase decision around your the carrier that the ISP says your traffic will be distributed through, I think that that it would be grounds to quickly cancel and look somewhere else.

Thank god NO. I have read so many posts about their lack of support and days upon days to answer support issues that I thank the lord I never went with them. Now they just got caught scamming people with what BW they are on verse what they are being charged for, this confirms my gut feeling that they are just scammers from the get go. Now all of this is just my opinion from the posts I have read and the people I have talked to about SI :2 cents: :2 cents:

You dont even know what you are talking about. Shut your troll mouth. Thats not scamming. My box is sitting on 5 OC-192's(Not Split btw). If for some reason one of them goes down I automatically jump to another one. Its called redundency. If they didnt have cogent as a backup the customers would be down completley. This is a problem with Verizon. Its a temporary resolution until they get the issue fixed. All you are is a ffin troll who should keep their yap shut. :321GFY

Problem is that they've been down for 4 days, and have not sent out an email or anything. No support tickets are being answered. No phones are being answered.

Is it that difficult to mass-mail ONE standard email to all their customers about the situation?

We've previously waited 2 weeks for some domains to be set up.
It took them 10 days to respond to our initial "hey, what can you offer us in terms of hosting" email. Back then we should have been suspicious but decided to try them anyway.

During the 2 week waiting for 4-5 shitty domains the bdjuf thread broke out. And boy did we recognize the pattern of no replies and shitty excuses. Didn't comment back then since we didn't want to get on their shit list, but this is the drop.

They have the slowest and shittiest support I've ever experienced, and they've been down for 4 days. We're gone.

Funny Joel posted his cell phone number right in this very thread did you call it? I bet I can get ahold of him within minutes if I try. Chris's cell phone number has also been posted on the board within the last 5 days would you like me to get it for you?

I don't find it funny. You have no idea what this has cost us. We have 14 other servers at multiple hosts, and support with this company has been bad from day 1 and without any comparison the worst I've experienced in over 8 years.

We called the support phone number on their website with no answer.
If GFY is the place to find the real support phone number it's another nail in the coffin for our business relationship.

I'm aware that this current problem is probably legitimate, but it's just another disappointment out of many for us.
