Fraud Control!!!
i send a few thousand hits to webcams.com and get one sale....(no big deal, have been thru this before)
then i get this: Hello, After reviewing the first sale you made to Webcams.com, we noticed it was fraudulent. We have serious issues with webmaster related fraud and in order to combat this we sometimes require more information from our affiliates. This could have been coincidence, such as one of your site?s visitors using a stolen credit card to sign up to our site, and we will give you the benefit of the doubt, but please answer the following questions in order for your account to remain active. 1. How long have you been an adult webmaster? 2. Where are you located? 3. Have you logged into our affiliate area from any locations other than where you?re from? 4. Where does your traffic come from? 5. What pages or URL?s do you control? 6. What other sponsors do you use? 7. What pages link to your site? 8. What pages link to the page you are using to promote webcams.com? 9. How did you get into the adult industry? 10. What other sponsors do you use? 11. Can you please provide your affiliate ID with your top sponsors? 12. Do you give us permission to ask for references? We are sorry for the inconvenience but we will be unable to issue payment until the above questions are answered. Please understand that this is a very troublesome issue for us (We get at least one new person per day who tries to fraud our affiliate program by using stolen credit card numbers to generate sign ups/revenue, hoping they won?t be caught). Thanks for participating in the webcams.com affiliate program. J Kind regards, Webcams.com Fraud Control i love this part "We get at least one new person per day who tries to fraud our affiliate program by using stolen credit card numbers to generate sign ups/revenue, hoping they won?t be caught" ![]() |

Hmm. I was just running a search on webcams.com to see if they were worth sending traffic to. Did you get this resolved?

Reginaldo,
We seriously do get at least one person per day who tries this. What affiliates do is sign up and try to generate at least 1 or 2 sales per week sending hit bot traffic. It is potentially hard to catch them because it could be purely coincidence that the surfer's information does match or our fraud department deems the customer to be illegimiate. When affiliates only send one sale per week or so it's hard to establish a pattern, so we must ask for these references. Thanks for understanding. Please ICQ me or tell me your affiliate ID here and I will look at the transaction further and give you exact details of what was wrong with it if you'd like. |

Just do as they say and try to understand that fraud is killing the whole industry.
