Mmmm.. book em into the resort complex at Nicoya - Tambor Bay? It's sufficiently far enough away and more family orientated?

I got the same damned problem for three weeks with a group of adults, but the kinda people you prob don't want to haul along to an adult webmaster meet Been thinking about how I can dump them someplace and escape for a few days

Actually, I had an idea. Punta Leona http://www.hotelpuntaleona.com/photo_gallery/index.htm . I've stayed there before. The beach, Playa Blanca was used in the movie Conquest of 1812 or something and it's beautiful. The private condos are far enough back on the property (takes 15 minues by car to get to the front facilities (food, check in etc), with their own infinity pool and right next to the white sand beach. It's about 20 minutes outside of Jaco.

Ah.. I don't know that place WarChild, but it looks nice and damned handy - and it's a lot less hassle than the ferry trip to Nicoya.

OK.. Will bookmark this and let you make your bookings first!

I think you solved my problem as well - thanks!

I always found Heredia reminded me more of a bombed out slum. Up on the mountain it's nice, but the city is disgusting.

I'm in Pavicen Guachapelin.

Now, I bet ya just love "having" to go to San Jose for some reason?? That is one place I avoid and always thought it's one hellhole for a capital city - but suppose there is worse. And.. not that you'd expect any city to be, - but it sure is nothing remotely like the real Costa Rica.

Yes, it was the Heredia mountain area I was thinking about - there are some very nice places up there, but it's nice to be in a warmer microclimate. Handy for Swiss nationals to make them feel at home!

Where is Pavicen Guachapelin WarChild? Guessing.. in Guanacaste near Liberia?

Yeah San Jose is disgusting. The poison death cloud that lingers over the city is just amazing. I love how you can see it hanging there from the mountains in Escazu.

Pavicen is in Escazu near Santa Ana. One exit passed Multi Plaza on the highway towards Santa Ana.

A complete move from Canada to Guanacaste was going to be too difficult. So I'm in the central valleyf or a bit. I'm looking for a house in Flamingo/Tamarindo or even Liberia, but it has to have DSL quality phone line(s) so as you can imagine it's a long search.

Dammit.. you're next door! And yes... I've sat on the top of the mountain area a few times and watched that cloud lingering over San Jose. Dunno if you been up there... it's hard not to notice the difference in the air.

Just off now to undergo a lung contamination experiment under that cloud!
