My wife and I were grabbing a late night snack at Dennys here on Sunset(hollywood) and a pimp and his hooker were at the table next to us(hookers are every where in my neighborhood) and we were just wondering--how does a pimp get started? Where do they find there girls? Can a hooker just switch pimps? and --what sort of percentage do the pimps get?
It was really interesting to here these two talk about their business --so I figured there must be someone on GFY who would have the answers. And no--I am not looking to become a pimp(fuckers)

To answer some of your questions:

It seems as if most of the pimps became pimps because the women asked them too. Meaning that their girlfriends said they would get money for the both of them. And so the men just started to pimp their girlfriends. Also, once the guuys became pimps the sort of became new people, they would use nicknames, and front a pimp attitude. They would mimic the pimps they saw as young men. Flashy cars, flashy jewelry, flashy clothes, and "gators"...

Their women are usually girlfriends, or other girls on the street (belonging to other pimps) that the men steal. But it;s done with respect. A guy brings a ho to the street, and if another pimp takes her, then that's that. It's nothing personal, and the other pimp respects that. Sometimes the men will become a boyfriend to a girl, and fuck with her mind until she ho's herself. One guy found a girl, and bought her and her mom groceries, and the mom (in not so many words) basically gave the daughter to the pimp.

Ho's don't usually just switch pimps, they are sort of taken in by other pimps.


What percentage do ho's get? 0, zip, zilch, nada, NOTHING!! Not one fuckin' dime.

And it's explained like this:
If I (the pimp) split my money with the ho at 75% (mine) 25%(hers) then if she gets picked up by the cops, I can only put up 75% of the bail money. Same as for doctors, if she needs medical attention, I can only pay 75% of her bills. See, so I need it all so I can take care of her 100% if she needs it.
