Big Gap in New King Kong Movie [Possible Spoilers]

How the hell did they get that 25-foot gorilla from Skull Island to New York? A bit too comfortable that they just left that part out without any explanation.

Anyway I thought the movie was marvelous. The Kong vs. T-rex fight was amazing. Probably the best action flick I've seen since Star Wars III.

BTW it is a good example of the destructiveness of the human race. Mankind will keep destroying all beautiful things on this earth until there is nothing left, but that's another story

I didn't see it but my 8 yr old told me they strapped him to the side of the boat and dragged him back .... did he just make that up? or assume? Because that was one of the first things i asked when he came back .. "how did they get him back to NY"

I agree with everything you said. I guess they shipped him over to NYC, only way really. In the 1977 version they show this. I still love the original 1933 film. That still looks great the Kong in that looks so real and better than the 1977 one. Way ahead of it's time.

a reviewer I like a lot said it is the great question that is never answer in any version but that they had that sort of shipping equipment and that was how it would have been done..lol..geeks

I agree with pradaboy. From the beginning of the movie (when they show the boat), I was wondering how they would move Kong all the way to NY. Too bad that part was undiscussed/left out.

Anyway, I found it the best movie of 2005, together with Crash, The Descent and Lord Of War.

Although I don't agree with Roger Ebert all that much, I agree when he says "King Kong" is one of the great modern epics. I fucking loved this movie. The battle with the t-rexes is the best action sequence ever done. Its unreal. Don't believe me? Here's a minute clip from it:

This movie is just sooooooooo far ahead of everyone else for cgi. The very definition of spectacular.

Thanks for the clip, it is indeed spectacular. I can't wait for the dvd to come out.

I saw it last night. How awesome!! They got the gorilla behaviour down so perfectly. And the brontosaurus chase was my favourite dinosaur scene. And the bugs! EEEEEEEEW! What a cool movie.

I don't think the transportation question was ever answered much in any version, but it bothered me a bit, too.

wicked movie, i totally agree with you, that part just kind of "happened", i wish they would have explained it more but that would have meant another half hour im sure.

2 thumbs up though.

So you believe in King Kong, but the part that sounds impossible is how he could of got from Skull Island to New York?

Welcome to Hollywood.

Who cares? I'm pretty sure everyone who made the film was aware that they didn't show that. It doesn't need to be explained because it's irrelevant.
