Who do you trust for domain registration? registerfly SUCKS!

I use Netsol and Registerfly. I use to think registerfly was good until today when I saw 3 charges for $29.97 from the 21st when I only made one purchase. Their system said error processing 3 times but on the 4th time it worked. And now I recieve 3 charges. That's bullshit. To make it worse and what Im really upset about is that I was on hold for 10 minutes and then there system or them hang up on me without answering! Fucking terrible. Do NOT use registerfly!

Have you guys used their online customer service? I've had problems before and almost always rectified with RegisterFly within hours.

Yes WG I do notice that when I use registerfly's ticket sytem they fix the issues. But with the nameserver issue where you try to change the nameserver it doesnt work for me. Its like I'll always have to make a support ticket when I need to change nameservers for a domain. I'll see what happens about the erroneous charges on my card and report back here.

I had a terrible time with their support.. Their admin tool would not let me change the dns servers for 11 of my domains. Calling them typicaly resulted in at least 20 minutes of hold time waiting for a "highly trained rep" who was having difficulties knowing what i ment by changing my DNS records.

Ah well, guess i got what i paid for. Im using Net Solutions, their expensive but with VIP account support is extremely nice

Yes I agree about their phone tech support. I did the same thing once about my dns issues and the guy thought I was talking about FTP. But I wonder if these are the same people answering the support tickets? Those guys seem to at least fix the problem but never really fix their damn system.

Try creating a nameserver profile and then change profiles. I had that problem before and it worked that way.

Even with the DNS profiles, i was unable to do either a global change or each one individual. Each time the dns change notification would be sent to me, and each time the fields would be blank. Congrats though that yours ended up working. Such a pain in the butt for such a simple task.

Sometimes your account will be flagged for fraud if something suspicious happens and they will lock your account. In my case, signing up for an account there and purchasing about 7 domain names in about a week must have set off their fraud flags.

So to fix this they will call the phone number associated with the account to verify you are legit.

That's probably not a problem for some people, but it was a pain in the ass for me because they would not specify a time they would call, and I am out of the house a lot, and they would not allow me to call them. So I kept missing their calls. And they have no telephone support number.

So I ended up having to email a pic of my driver's license and credit card to them. Everything has been fine since, but that was a royal pain in the ass to get straightened out at the time.

Most of my domains are with registerfly. I've only had a couple of problems, each rectified in about 20 mins with the ticket system.

i use namesecure,

registerfly is indeed one of the worst registars on earth. i havent heard anything ever said good about them, and those that think they are good are indeed waiting for something to happen.

i put $600 in backorders on domains, and in the control panel it didnt even list which ones were being backordered and on top of it i tried to double back order some names to check if they would allow it (which they obviously shouldnt) and the charges also went through.

then i phoned their support and all they said as an answer was: o if it captures it will appear.

and none of them did, i have a 100% feeling they didnt even make an attempt to capture any names let alone have any scripting in affect to do so.

for those out there stay far far away from registerfly, or switch registars asap because you are playing with fire and WILL get burnt.

Yeah it's been three days now and registerfly hasnt gotten back to me about my billing support ticket yet they did get back to me about the DNS support ticket. What a sham! Im doing a chargeback on them tommorow. Its the principle.. they fucked with my money and now I need to show them that they can't do that. It makes me so fucking angry that they can do this and not care! Fuck registerfly!

if you do a google search on them or read on some domain forums 90% are bad ratings.

good luck at getting it back.

they are indeed a bunch of bastards.

registerfly has been in the spotlight for unauth cc charges many times. I always used prepaid credit cards with them, they tried to charge my prepaid card 3 times for 34.95 even though it had 0.00 on it . When I brought it to their attention they denied ever charging it even though I showed them the proof. This was 3 or so years ago.

They are full of shit. I use bp domain registars now only, never had any problems, over 1000 domains without a glitch.
