:stoned Vancouver Hotels

Hi folks! I'm tired of shooting in my bedroom for my own site, and am wanting to get a swanky hotel suite to do a boatload of shoots in to last me a while. I'm looking for a glam type look, like exotic furnishings and marble in the bathroom. Something memorable and cool. Anywhere in the Vancouver/Greater Vancouver area would be ideal. Any suggestions would be most helpful!

I kinda want a hotel that doesn't look like a hotel. You know, the bed looks nice in a non-hotelish way.

Whistler for sure, with the windows open and the snow all around would be really cool!

Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

The Opus in Yaletown is pretty swank in a very modern way.

Delta Vancouver Suites ( http://www.deltahotels.com/hotels/hotels.php?hotelId=21 ) and Le Soleil Hotel ( http://www.lesoleilhotel.com/home.html ) are good choices.

Delta Vancouver Suites is "modern" and Le Soleil is French antique/boutique style.

DO NOT shoot in the Pacific Pallisades unless you want your content to look like everyone else's in Vancouver...lol.

;)

My Fav

http://www.lesoleilhotel.com/home.html - highly recommended. Ask for the sweetheart package and they will dress the suite up with roses and other fun things for a different kind of shoot.

Two recommendations for Le Soleil can't be bad! It looks like exactly what I was wanting!! And so cheap? $150 a night! Weird...

Are the rooms large enough to back up for a full shot? Or are they pretty tight?

Nice size

Great size rooms. I know its cheap, seemed wierd to me too at the time. But a great value. Supposedly the Penthouse is a favorite for the likes of Christina Aguilera and Cameron Diaz when in town.

Do they look at you funny if you bring in photog stuff? Or do you tell them right up front what you're doing?

Thanks Spunky! I'll ask for the not black and gold room
