well this is so strange people must know to accept good things.

Hey You . . . I Know You! 12-17-2005 03:58 PM

The key to everything depends upon the answer to my post above:

Is there anything we should know about the history between you and this employee?

This could make all the difference in the answers you receive.

Yup yup.

That's because it's a pain in the ass to mail it back. It's easier throwing it back at your lame boss.

tony286 12-17-2005 04:22 PM

Thats very rude, I cant believe people . Besides being rude its a gift from your boss and you tell him I dont want it ?

devilspost 12-17-2005 04:24 PM

When people shop for gifts they buy shit they would like to have themselves.

Giving luggage to an employee as a gift is RUDE. I understand the employee. Not because it's Sleazydream, but because it's extremely stupid to give luggage to an employee.

Why do you think that? maybe he is planning to send them to Hawaii for vacation.

devilspost 12-17-2005 04:32 PM

49 bags of regifted luggage. :upsidedow

devilspost 12-17-2005 04:34 PM

Simply because luggage has a specific subconscious meaning.

Employees do not like being treated like people bringing luggage for their boss.

It doesn't matter if it's a GIFT or not..

Why is it a horrible gift for an employee? I don't get it. Most employees get a $25-50 gift certificate to the local grocery store for Christmas... if I were the employee I would much rather have the luggage, thats a nice gift.

You're an anti-cheerleader. Cheerleaders follow someone around and praise someone no matter how stupid they are. Anti-cheerleaders follow someone around and dog someone no matter the issue at hand. I know quite a few people that don't like SleazyDream, but they don't follow him around and chastise his every move. I hear knitting is quite therapeutic, maybe you should give it a shot.

You're an idiot. If Sleazydream gave them EVERYTHING else than a stupid luggage, I wouldn't reply to this thread. Especially since he's wondering why he/she gave it back to him.

You just don't give luggage to an employee, like I previously mentionned, it's like giving a brand new mop to a janitor or a brand new keyboard to a secretary..

If you're too dumb to understand my point of view it's not my fucking problem, you should take a walk for fresh air or have a nice cup of tea and do some thinking..

quiet 12-17-2005 04:41 PM

i'll take luggage any day. great gift imo.

Sly 12-17-2005 04:43 PM

Ok. So far you're the only one contesting luggage is a "horrible gift!" Maybe you're the idiot?

You should reserve your opinion until Sleazy answers the question about his current/past relationship with that employee.

No, because most people in this thread are biased. They simply are Sleazydream's brown nosers, just like yourself.

adultchica 12-17-2005 04:50 PM

Well if they took the stuff inside and gave you the luggage back with at least a "Thank you for the gifts, but the luggage perhaps could go to someone who needs it" would have been sufficient.

Riiight.

Luggage is not the coolest present ever trust me...my parents got some one year from my grandparents and laughed about it when they got home...they took it back to the store that my grandparents bought it from and used the credit. They were too nice though to tell my grandparents that luggage sucks.

Hey You . . . I Know You! 12-17-2005 04:58 PM

I bought my girlfriend a Bread Maker. I think it is a great gift. She is expecting a ring, or something . . . so she will really be surprised!

I will be soooo pissed if she doesn't love it.

I hope your couch is comfortable.

slapass 12-17-2005 05:15 PM

No idea why luggage is like a mop. I do not think this person is expected to travel with Sleazy. I like luggage as a gift as most people do not blow cash on it for themselves. Cool gift.

Sleazy, just my two cents but use this to get closer to the employee. Kind of a why did you give it back? Maybe they are super comfortable with you as a person and did it to be truly helpful. It was too much cash? They do not like you and wanted to show it? Bad deal but possible. Might work out to be a good thing.

Actually it's a pretty nice and usefull gift... very nice gift for an employe

Omg dude gimmie a fucking luggage for xmas and I'l be very happy. Thx you.

Viper2K1 12-17-2005 05:45 PM

I'll take it ;)

They kept the rest of the stuff so it's not like they have that "i don't want to accept anything from you cos i don't like you" attitude.
It's indeed a weird thing to do so, but obviously that person doesn't think about it that way.
Luggage is a nice gift tho, something everybody can use

Useful?! WTF?! Do his employees travel every day or even once a month?! I wouldn't call that useful. Useful is a nice gift certificate or a nice cash bonus. I don't think we have the same vision of what "useful" is.

I'm sorry, but luggage is already a lame ass gift. I can't imagine what it is for an employee to receive it.

SureFire 12-17-2005 06:04 PM

So he/she kept the stuff inside and gave back the luggage.

Unless the employee stated he/she wanted new luggage, he/she may of thought it was a hint to find a new job. Who knows :upsidedow but I would feel odd recieving that type of gift since it could give me a mix message.

If I liked my boss and working within the company, I doubt I would return it and thank him. But, I would be wondering if I should be looking for a new job. :)

Even if you use it once a year ... you're gonna be really happy when you don't have to buy one.

The only time I'm going to be happy receving stupid luggage is bringing it back to the store to buy something else.

Yeah, a wallet to Elli, a watch to Jman, luggage to his employees.. WTF? Something tells me he's been regifting all that shit or he got a special deal from a stolen truck.

I suppose the idea of actually giving people something is foreign to you.

no i don't intend to travel with this employye - but they do travel - on their own - 2-3 times a year or more.

i laugh at the assumptions idiots like nocarrier make - sad really.

i wonder if anyone in his life cared enough about him to give him anything this time of year

Yes, my 6 year old daughter is giving me a gift she made at school and my 18 months old son is too young to give him a gift, but his presence and his love is like a billion gifts.

Between the two, I'd rather receive nothing and enjoy spending time with my kids than receive stupid idiotic gifts like luggage.

Mr Pheer 12-17-2005 07:12 PM

Where I come from, its very insulting to refuse a gift from someone.

People these days are greedy and selfish and forget that its not the gift, its the thought that counts. They should be happy that you think enough of them to give them a gift in the first place, and graciously accept it. If they dont like it, they can always take it to the store and exchange it for something else.

I would not be offended if someone I gave a gift to exchanged it for something else, but I would be offended if they outright refused it.

JoeMeca 12-17-2005 07:44 PM

sleazy hit me up on icq and ill take the luggage off your hands bro no worry

Trixie Racer 12-17-2005 08:28 PM

Instead of being hurt or offended when someone does not want your gift, you should appreciate his/her honesty. :thumbsup
