trillian's log files do not take long to grow to exponential sizes.
Trillian is not slowing your computer down, it is your antivirus software scanning Trillian's huge logs that is slowing your computer down ... EXCLUDE the trillian folder from your AV software, or if you use AVG Free, find a better AV software (such as Avast!) that will allow you to exclude folders/files.
