Where is the best place you have ever travelled to? Place you would love to visit?

Where is the best place you have ever been? Where do you desire to go?

Post pictures if you have them.

The best place I have ever been is Cusco, Peru, the former Incan capital city. Without question, seeing the ruins of Machu Pichu was amazing. I hiked from Cusco for 5 days to Machu Pichu through the Andes, complete seclusion.

I want to see Africa: Kenya and South Africa. It is complicated though, as those destinations are expensive and all-consuming. Hopefully within the next five years I can get there.

The trademark "Times Square" picture for Machu Pichu. The "lost" beanie was a great effect

This is what it looks like after you reach the highest point of Machu Pichu, Temple del sol; it is a tough climb on tired legs. I caught a jungle sickness the night before making it worse. But it was very fullfilling to reach the top. Most people do not climb it and many drop off about halfway up realizing the climb is actually tough and dangerous.

Off the top of my head, I'd have to say I'd love to go back and visit northern Italy again... People were awesome, food was great, sites to be seen were great, eye candy was nice too!

Place(s) I'd love to visit next, chile, argentina, greece, cyprus and southern spain...

PS: great pics man, I'd love to check that place out too

My girl's brother is getting married in Hawaii this spring. I love surfing, so I am looking forward to that. We are supposed to stay on Oahu. Is that Island alone enough to see for a few days? You have any tips?

I see you are in NYC, I will be there this weekend. We may do drinks on Friday night somewhere.

My favorite place that I've been to would have to be Ireland. It was not only a trip that I took for relaxation, but it was also a trip that I took to learn about my heritage. I was lucky enough to see the entire country, and I would have to say that it was definitly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

The millenium spire in Dublin. This was dubbed the biggest waste of taxpayer money in Ireland.

What good would Ireland be if you didn't enjoy a pint of Guinness in Durty Nelly's Pub?

The Cliffs Of Moher in Shannon. You wouldn't believe how high up these cliffs really are. It's always windy there, but that doesn't stop idiotic tourists from climbing to the edge of a cliff. Rumor has it that about 30 tourists a year die there because they decide to get brave and cross the "do not cross this chain" chain. It's a horrible death, because rescue choppers have a hell of a time getting down there to recover the bodies.

I forgot where exactly it is where I took this. It was taken while driving the Ring of Kerry.

What is a trip to Ireland without kissing the Blarney Stone? For those who haven't done this, you are leaning backwards and kissing the stone upside down... While dangling over about a 9 story drop.

Replica of the immigrant ships in Cork. This is what my Great Grandfather would have traveled on. These were known as death ships, as the disease and starvation overtook most of it's passengers by the time they arrived in America.

Wow, we did almost the same trip - I think I have the pic looking down when I kissed the stone - been eloquent ever since...Cliffs of Moher are a world wonder, and there's a waterfall on the way there called the Veil of Clara...I think my favorite is Lucerne, Switzerland though - saw snow for the first time on Jungfrau Mountain - great thread Cory...

Definitly! Pace yourself this time though!

Klixx... I'd love to have a look at that waterfall one of these days. I didn't see any while I was there, so I'll definitly have to put that on my list of things to see.

Oddly enough, I didn't take any pics of the Guinness factory.. That was pretty impressive looking over Dublin from a panoramic 360 degree window, 7 stories high while sipping a pint of fresh Guinness.

One of my best friends is spending a year there studying Arabic at the university in Damascus. I doubt I'll ever get a chance to go to a place like Syria again, even though my friend is trying to convince me to go to Iran next summer

But I can't see myself going somewhere where I risk not having a real toilet near by I can shit in a hole in the ground and holding it for a week might not be a good idea.

If you're going to do that and are doing it at least in part to see the animals, make sure to spend some time in Tanzania - much better game, less travelled and spoiled. And if you have enough time, before they're extinct, do the gorilla tracking thing (I think you have to do it in Uganda - I did it in Rwanda but that was years ago, when Rwanda was the Switzerland of Africa and Uganda was ruled by a madman lol) - that was the best thing I've ever done :-)
Also, if you're going to be in Kenya - spend a few extra days and fly over to the Seychelles - they make the Caribbean look like the Jersey Shore in comparison
