did you pay all your affiliates already? I only heared bad things about your program... you are the last to call anyone unprofessional.....

candyflip 12-11-2005 09:08 AM

It is illegal to talk about a former employee like that here in the US.

They're lucky they're not here.

This isn't just kind of wrong, it's very wrong. Far outside the realm of professional. My raising attention to the unprofessionalism of these guys is just reporting. Nothing more.

What your saying would mean Associated Press would look bad for telling a story. No difference here.

I believe the whole point of what they are saying is that the AP would have taken an approach more akin to: "The team over at MensNiche just got together and sent out the following memo the all of it's affiliates, which I/we feel to be very unprofessional"

and not: "Sounds like the highschool kids over there put their heads together and sent out a memo. Congrats, idiots:"

The Ghost 12-11-2005 09:34 AM

There have been some interesting emails going out from a bunch of companies lately. I think Gremlins are to blame.

Holly 12-11-2005 09:38 AM

They should also get rid of everybody who thought it was a good idea to send something like that out.

Yeah.

I mean, we can all understand being distrought over having a bad employee - most especially one that might have been paid exceptionally well and charged with a lot of responsibility and trust. I'm just surprised that any company would air it's laundry like that in public - I know that a US company couldn't get away with that. Is it possible that they are fishing to put out all fires with this guy, looking to see if there are any that they don't even know exist? Even still, one would think they would have made the press release positive about the new employee and simply stated that the other person isn't with the company anymore. Clearly, they don't want the guy to ever work in the industry again and if they thought it necessary to send out a press release like that then perhaps they feel there is so much ill-will from affiliates that there was nowhere to go but up.

Oh well, good luck to everyone.

Cheers

Brad

I don't use them because even they know that they are immature.

pradaboy 12-11-2005 10:14 AM

I agree that that e-mail is childish and shouldn't have been sent out in that manner.

On the other hand they still are my best PE sponsor so I don't really give a shit.

Exactly. I understand that their "announcement" was wrong... but I didn't go crying about it and comparing it to highschool. That, itself, is unprofessional.

And that's my point... EdgeXXX just pointed it out better :winkwink:

Yeah. I'd be pissed.

But, let me ask you this.

Would you announce to the world that you had a fuck up on your team?

Personally, I'd quietly get rid of said fuck up and announce the hiring of whomever I found to replace said fuck up.

aflex 12-11-2005 10:28 AM

not professional... ummmmmmmm if this guy was as bad as they make him look, someone had to hire him right?

The fact is, a company can hang itself... beating it while it's already put itself down isn't required. It just makes the person beating it look as bad as the company itself.

stop crying. :2 cents:

Rui 12-11-2005 10:37 AM

Like I already said to both Andy and Darren this is quite a bad move on their part, I know what they are after with this sort of thing but this is indeed very unprofessional on their part.

And for the record, I am sure Scott did what he was expected to do- I happened to like Scott and felt he was a definate asset for MN-
IMHO it sometimes is tough dealing with people in other countries when you are located here in the states.

I dealwith two Aussie companies who I am able to get on my ICQ and AIM anytime- I am fortunate but sometimes you have to deal with a different type of attitude from your employer.

I felt that MN was a good company, however I did ,and still do feel -that the owners are extremely immature and spoiled.

Agreed. I don't know why everyone is jumping on xenigo, I for one totally agree with him.

That has to be the most tasteless press release I have seen since Cohen put that one out about Gary a couple months ago.

Temp1 12-11-2005 11:39 AM

Things aren't always black or white, you have to look past the surface. I'd bet that guy Scott, as soon as he was fired, starting going around and poisoning the well with the company's contacts/affiliates. If the guy was a lazy, two-faced opportunist as they claim he is - which I happen to believe because it makes no sense for a program to create that kind of drama for no reason - then you can be sure the guy continued his non-ethical behavior even more so after he was fired. So the company decided to send out a press release, make a clear record of what really happened, so that the ex-employee wouldn't cause further damage. Maybe not the best way to handle it, but it seems they (mensniche) are pretty disgusted and emotional.

I could be way off but I'd be willing to bet I'm not.
