Could I swing writing off a 3K DLP on my taxes?

It also functions as a computer monitor...

What kind of purchases do you write off?

I make decent money, but can keep track of my money fairly easy.

I have about $400 in bills each month. Everything else is profit. Why do I need someone to keep track of that?

Dude the reason that you started this thread alone is enough reason to hire an accountant. Stop asking shit here that you and i cant answer. Thats what an accountant is for. Just believe me alright. For every 100 you spend on him he probably saves you 200. Now stop asking, were not accountants. You want to save money, hire one.

Between 1 dollar and 3000 depending on what needs to be done.

Dude stop asking stupid questions noone can answer. Call a frigging accountant tell him what you do and he will tell you how much it costs. This is gfy, were not accountants.

Dunno about your part of the world, but in mine we need to declare the proportion used for business.

If you're that worried about paying an accountant then go to a cheapie place like H&R. It's not the best but you'll probably still find some things that you wouldn't have thought of yourself. Their bill should be tax deductable.

Remember you're not just claiming basic outgoing bills; you can probably also claim things like office expenses, conventions and business get togethers.

My main problem is that I cant write things off that I dont own. I live at home while going to college, I cant write most things off because more money is saved by others claiming me and writing stuff off for themselves.

Ahhh thats a good question. Let me help you with that.

The best thing you could do in this case....is....

Tomorrow morning first thing, call an accountant and make an appointment with him and talk to him about this.

actually a tax lady would be better for asking about write offs....not an accountant....an accountant COULD help you out....but the tax lady will help you more and save you more

Accountants indeed save a ton, I've been able to write off things I never even imagined I could after hiring mine.
