a single counter code for all pages

which counter can I use that will count & provide referer statistics for every single page with the same single code. It's a blog, so the counter code gets added to sidebar template or footer & this ends up on every single page, and so if person lands on page_268/section12/porn/ I want to know how he got there. Right now, I have sextracker on it, but it's not providing stats for any pages other than index & with their multi page counter there's a different code for each page....

could you include a little javascript snippet on the page that made an XML request to a php script passing it the http_referer?

or just have a piece of code posting the http_referer to a database?

or including a gif on the page and parsing your log files for that gif to get the referer?

....
....

I'm a big fan of:
http://www.statcounter.com/
many statistics, but only 100 referrers, but you can upgrade.

I'm still looking for a log analyzer that doesn't bring down a server.

yeah, but problem with the log files for the server is that urls get cut off, particulary search strings & I often want to click the search string to land exactly where my link is, rather than go to the se & type in the keyword & go from page to page looking for it. I do this to see what rank or page it's on for certain keywords

for example, this string http://www.google.com/search?q=gofuc...&start=80&sa=N

would show up in log as http://www.google.com/search?q=

Using the same service here. No ads \ banners \ pop ups displayed on your page (if you choose). the 100 page loads is a bit sad.. but it works...

i dont know whats wrong with your server that is causing the logfiles to truncate url's.. i'd say thats what you're using to look at them, not the actual logs.

yeah, 100 page loads is definately not going to work. what I need is something that will tell me what se & keyword surfer comes from if he is landing on any page other than index page. for example, same counter in footer.php that shows up on all pages throughout site, & lets say joe shmoe is searching se & & lands on page26/gallery/sex.htm or something. I want to know where he came from. My current counter which is sextracker, isnt capable of providing referer info on any other page besides index unless each separate page has its own code & that is not possible here.
