The reason larger rotors are better is that as the rotors heat up, the brakes can use less and less of the tire's traction to stop. Larger rotors dissipate heat faster, so when you're hot lapping you experience less (or, ideally, no) brake fade. If you test 80-0 stopping distance, once you get to a decent size rotor (stock is fine on most cars), there's no difference with bigger brakes. Now, if you test that same stopping distance 10 times in a row (100% braking 80-0, 100% acceleration 0-80, 100% braking 80-0, etc), there's a huge difference with bigger/better brakes. </car_geek> Cheers -b
