Right, give me the magic pill to make easy $ in mainstream. If you are smart you can make $ anywhere, doesnt matter if its adult or mainstream. I see people saying they make shit load of $ in mainstream, yet they are still posting here?

I call bullshit.

We all learned from being in the adult side for years. The best way to lost money is to let everyone know about it.

Not my problem whether you believe it or not, frankly I don't care. I have 15 affiliates that send me traffic and get paid, for the past 2 years.

The average webmaster couldn't do it right now. Everyone of those affilaites all started with Adult, learned what they could, took their skills and left it.

I'm not going to tell you how to make money, if you don't have the imagination or fortitude to figure it out, well... If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

most people wouldn't have a clue where to start, i know i don't. with adult its a lot easier for people to get started. you have an idea of where you can get traffic from even if you know nothing about it. but if you're talking about mailing, i don't consider that mainstream.

You sir are a bastard! :)

It's the highest compliment I can give.

If you make Vegas, let's meet up. :)

zanex 12-06-2005 12:19 PM

I'm not ashamed to admit that I don't make nowhere NEAR that.
with 1500 euros/MONTH I can:
pay mortgage (for my small apartment which costed 70.000 euros)
pay gas, electricity, cable, water
go dinner out every weekend
have some beers (not whiskeys)

I really don't know how somwone can ditch on huge money like that...insane!
with 25.000 euros/month, I'd live like like a king (almost)

btw, I should do mainstream...I really should....

Hah, I bet that would have been interesting ;-)
But unfortunately I won't be there at that time.

Rinaldo 12-06-2005 12:34 PM

I have more than that in my pocket.

Seriously though, if you are making that kind of money ... anyone save !!!
Don't be an asshole and go broke a year from now when the thing that's working for you now isn't working anymore.
It's happened to a lot of people

WiredGuy 12-06-2005 12:41 PM

Assuming this is net (otherwise its a useless number to base the question on), this would yield over $300k/year which would certainly put anyone in the top percentiles of income earners. That being said, I would say its a lot to most people.

Dravyk has a pretty nice board there...

This is a fun thread

...and yes there is way more money in mainstream, but adult is a good place for newbies to learn some concepts...

:thumbsup

So, Netpond, Ynot, and other resource sites starting back in 1999/2000 were also to be laughed at because they had NonAdult/Mainstream sections?

Well, it seems to me that by naming a site "mainstream webmasters", it's making a clear statement about what it's about, then to go and find adult sections on the site seems rather backwards, especially since many true mainstream webmasters would be offended by finding that adult stuff there on a site they initially thought would have been free from stuff like that.

As long as you live within your means you'll be fine :winkwink:

I understand your view, thanks for clarifying. I look at it as giving the webmaster another chance at making more money. Some might take it, some won't. At the end of the day, they don' thave to click the link.

Nickatilynx 12-06-2005 01:17 PM

I love dravyk...but the real problem with his board is..

the only people that refer to "mainstream" as "mainstream" are porners LOL

Anyone that dosen't think that is a good amount of money has never been poor.

Trixie Racer 12-06-2005 01:55 PM

It's a little high for me but not outrageously so. I've made more than than before -- just not in recent months. :2 cents:

Doctor Dre 12-06-2005 01:56 PM

Good enough for me to live on... and make big savings . Cost of life isn't too expensive arround here.

Jer 12-06-2005 02:19 PM

That's a truckload of money for me. I could pay a year or more of my living expenses with it (I don't have a car and I pay rent).

pornpf69 12-06-2005 02:22 PM

I would be very happy with that ammount per month ;)

bdld 12-06-2005 02:34 PM

assuming its net, and depending on your 'quality of life', it's a nice chunk of change. it does depend on where you live and what type of a person you are though.

BradShaw 12-06-2005 02:39 PM

Maybe 2 people who have posted in this thread make this kind of $ currently.

And I am not one of them.

p1mpdogg 12-06-2005 02:45 PM

i make that in a day, a month? id kill myself

Young 12-06-2005 02:47 PM

Being 24, single, and having a house completely paid off. With my only worry's being a electric/gas bill, small car payment and insurance (life, health, car)......

Yes....thats alot of money.

For someone (not referring to you in particular Donny) who has kids, a wife who likes to shop, 2 car payments, a mortgage, insurance (for everyone), etc etc. $26k may not be enough depending on other needs.

27K a month is a lot of money to anyone. All the people on here saying its chump change are idiots.

xNetworx 12-06-2005 02:58 PM

Thats a very solid monthly net for most people in this business.

Very true! A lot of two income families in the states don't make that combined a year.

EroticySteve 12-06-2005 03:13 PM

Even if your'e status and income exceed this to anyone this is a lot of money.

That income would surely pay my bills and leave a lot left over for saving.
